Lorenzo has been faster than Rossi all season really, there has been no "suddenly faster" with regards to Lorenzo. But I do agree its odd that suddenly Spies is faster.
Stands to reason really, he is their next man, he is worth the investment they will get gains from him going faster. It could be something as simple as a releasing of programming algorithms and data to Spies, Rossi has allways had access to the top ECU Progamming for the M1, now Spies may have ...... I know Herv was saying Yamaha have sent some "parts" their way and seemed very happy about the effect it had.
Of course we know Lorenzo has been faster practically for the entire season so far, in fact I said "not only Lorenzo but also Spies..."
It was Rossi being suddenly slower as well, during the Brno race -.- not only Spies being suddenly faster. We'll see, but I smell trouble ahead -- Yamaha seem to have no intention whatsoever of letting Rossi mess too much with Lorenzo, which is understandable. Their message to Vale is "behave", and they are in a strong bargaining position as they control both the updates for his bike, and the possibility that he can begin testing the Ducati after Valencia.
Possible result: Rossi may follow Stoner's example and go to sleep, and we'll all fall asleep as well for the rest of the season.
