His multi-team perambulations don't seem to have affected yamaha's attitude to him though, since going by laguna seca 2010 they at least would seem to regard him as a yamaha guy.

I am not really familiar with his pre-motogp career but I gather he was the only one who could ride the said kawasaki so it is reasonable to think of him as a kawasaki guy

.

Hell yeah. That's why my first 4 bikes were Kawis. Lawson sold a lot of bikes for Kawasaki

in the '70s and '80s.

What did you expect with moronic statements like yours....?

And the rest is just the rise I was expecting from the usual dribblers.........

It's as if you've shot yourself in the foot - and then mock everyone who points out that you're bleeding.

He gets paid not to piss off Rossi fans, i dont, so i get to speak the truth without retribution. He is saying the same thing, just doesnt want the bops diving out of windows like upset soccer fans. Have any of you thought about what your going to do when he is gone. Are you quitting cold turkey or doing a 12 step program
<
<

Or Maybe your getting paid to ignore Hayden's misearable results, by talking bs about Rossi. we know who you are Mr Slave.

The rest of your post was absolute incoherent blubbering, nothing unusual for you as I figured yes you are young ( 15,16? ..... and you where telling me of JB's career

even though you were only born half way through it

) ...... but this bit ....... I'd say is a world first!! I know you hate parochialism ..... but I just want to claim you for Australia!!

In your face everyone!! We have the Bopper of all time right here in Aust.!!! TALPA!!!

Lorenzo is putting together what looks to becoming the most dominant season of all time and you are trying the ole " there is a cloud over it" routine already !!

While i find some of Talpa's posts bias towards Rossi, but i find it more interesting that he is swimming against the stream in his land, unlike 99% of OZ's.

who isn't bias here? everybody likes some and dislike someother rider's on PS. but some more and some less. anybody who says he is a fan of sport only, ill say BS.

I agree it is not unexpected that people who post on a motogp fan forum are hard core fans, myself included.

Valentino is very popular in australia as he is elsewhere, and even in 2007 there was more yellow than red at PI.

Yes I know its hard to believe with Australians like Baz and Pinks here.....but some of us value talent over patriotism. Mighty MickD is right there with VR in my book even though the stats don't support, as Mick had a much harder 'Run to the line', and it wouldn't matter if he was born in Romania for I realize that humans who aren't born in Australia can also ride motorcycles very fast. Athletes like Mick and Rossi are remarkable. I was there in 1997 when Mick lost the front in the corner which consequently adopted his namesake, and I wasn't one of the spectators who, rather disgustingly, left the circuit immediately after his crash.

I'm happy to be called a Rossi fan, he has dominated the sport I love both on track and off for years, If I didn't like/respect Rossi it would have been very difficult to watch this sport for the last 10-12 years, and when haters like povol carry on with their usual BS, they aren't supporting Jorge at all, just attempting to detract from Rossi and his fans. Some here also talk about true fans of the sport, IMO this type of rubbish is as far away from a fan of the sport as is possible. In their book it doesn't matter who beats Rossi as long as someone does. I suggest that it will be the haters who might need rehab when Rossi is gone.......

Of course you are right rossiofsky, all of us have allegiances, even the most level-headed like mickm displays a bias towards Stoner which effects his POV and this is admirable. Far removed from others who rarely, if ever, reveal their preference which will highlight their motives. I qualify this with the fact that these Sheriffs rarely or ever detract from usually more obvious 'bopperisms' from fans of other riders, proving that their hatred of Rossi and his fans and their determination to prove these fans wrong-outweighs their grip on reality and basic sense of reason. Might just be coincidence that most of these members are very similar in many ways.........

I like Jorge he's incredibly talented and tough, he is also 'currently' the fastest rider in Motogp, I've always said that he would be VR's chief competition this year-previously arguing with others in the process, but saying he is the stronger teammate is absurd, no doubt he would much rather beat a fully fit Rossi (as he didn't last year) by 10 points rather than the 150 odd he probably will this year. This is fact as Rossi is the benchmark.

Unprecedented success like Rossi's in sport always creates masses of fans and also creates a few haters, is it impossible to imagine that Journo's also don't have preferences which effect their POV's just a little? and hopefully povol doesn't get paid to write anything

It is well documented that im not a fan of Lorenzo, i find his antics childish. I do however recognize his talent . It is also well documented that i used to be a Rossi fan, second only to Hayden. Im not sure if it was the Rossi fan, or Rossi himself that soured me on him. The hate showed towards Hayden in 06 from the Rossi fan probably started it, and Rossi pushed me over the edge with the back door power play for tires, the wall in the garage, the him or me ultimatums. Rossi knew from the start that Lorenzo was going to be a contender to the crown and his behavior the last couple of years has shown who he really is. In fact, as young as Lorenzo is, and childish as his victory celebrations can be, he has been the bigger man during the last year and a half. And now, we get to live out the rest of the season with Rossi insinuating that something is amiss, and his fans slurping it up like chicken soup. Should be fun

Your theory is all well and good providing Rossi doesn't beat Jorge again this year......and this is still a very large assumption. Thanks for revealing your motives, it makes it all so much clearer

After Brno, where not only Lorenzo but also Spies was suddenly faster than him, I'm beginning to think Rossi may have a hard time winning again on a Yamaha.

Lorenzo has been faster than Rossi all season really, there has been no "suddenly faster" with regards to Lorenzo. But I do agree its odd that suddenly Spies is faster.

Stands to reason really, he is their next man, he is worth the investment they will get gains from him going faster. It could be something as simple as a releasing of programming algorithms and data to Spies, Rossi has allways had access to the top ECU Progamming for the M1, now Spies may have ...... I know Herv was saying Yamaha have sent some "parts" their way and seemed very happy about the effect it had.

i think people are reading WAY to much into one race. first of all, Spies has been faster than Rossi on other occasions, he just hasn't always finished ahead of him. now all of a sudden Spies finishes in front of Rossi on one of the few tracks he has been to before and now Spies has all this extra help from Yamaha and Rossi is getting ...... over?

Exactly

Spies was faster at Laguna also, but had a few brain farts that cost him a podium. Its no secret that Yamaha gave Spies some engine upgrades for Laguna, and it is more than likely he is getting some new stuff to play with for the rest of the year, but i seriously doubt he is on equal equipment as Rossi, yet.

Where did i say that Rossi will never beat Lorenzo again, or this year. You are struggling with the possibility that Rossi ran away from a fight. You also seem to be struggling with the FACT, that Yamaha picked Jorge over Rossi in the, him or me ultimatum. When it became obvious that Jorge was there number 1 priority, which also translates to number 1 rider, what was once a negotiating tool, became much more than that. It became his only decent option.. This is the first time in his career that he didnt get his way. It will be interesting to see how he acts as a man. He is already throwing little cryptic barbs and in my opinion, telling half truths about the money situation. That is just a guess, time will tell.

Ah, not all minds are created equal. Have you ever seen the old Twilight Zone shows? Your post reminded me of one called "To Serve Man". It appears its all one big conspiracy.

U mean a satellite team got upgrades midseason? Wow, thats never happened. Imagine that, a talented rookie fast at one of few tracks hes seen before? That sounds unbelievable. Lorenzo & Spies suddenly fast? Yeah, Lorenzo hasnt seen 3rd place all season, and Spies has, but all that only happend before Brno. So Rossi is in the top five while a rod with pins is still in his leg, uhm, call the FBI, something smells fishy.

...there's a signpost up ahead...you've just entered the Twilight Zone.

But I do agree its odd that suddenly Spies is faster.

U sound as crazy as Jrno & Talps. So Spies is "suddenly" faster? Mayb its magic. So a talented rookie rider is getting more proficient as the season moves on? Yup, sounds like sudden magic.

i dont think its so much spies finished 4th, he has finished 4th and even third at a wet donny before. I think its more the case rossi was a second a lap off pace with no explanation.

He did go down on Saturday. Riding with pins in your legs and crashing has got to get your attention, even if you dont want to admit it. He might have even gotten a little dinged when he fell of in qualifying, or he is just getting old. Thats the hardest thing in the world to admit
