Aye the Scots are unique bunch... though our Pete is a damn fine ambassador! Slide, if you don't get him yet... ye ne'er will laddie!!

Oh yeah, have we all noticed BarryMachine is a "BM"? Plus he does seem to enjoy his "rod" (and others rods) more than is appropriate!!

I didn't know that Rainey raced in Motogp. I thought Motogp came about with the introduction of 4 stroke bikes over the old 500cc 2 stroke machine.

What did you find insulting about my comment. I made no reference toward him being in a wheelchair or cripple, you simply choose to look into things that were not there. My comment could have meant, he won 2 world championships. He did correct?

Still he did end up in a wheelchair, and I do fondly remember watching him race in the 80's and 90's. He was good, but you would have to wonder if he would have won the second championship if Doohan had of not have his series injury in 1992.



Still you know the old saying "your not a real champion, if your bike has traction control"

firstly he won 3 championships (90,91,92) and secondly we all know what you ment by your comments

I don't recall any caveats on his 1990 and 1991 world championships; I also seem to recall a few quite useful riders competing against him in those years, including mick doohan.

I cannot bear to watch footage of his last race; the first time was more than enough when it was obvious immediately that it was very bad. I was surprised when someone posted it recently from what was apparently a tribute to wayne; didn't watch it.
