Don't worry Gui, I've treated Krops much much worse, and yes still around. Tough skin he has.
Dr. N, I think a bit of a overreaction? This is how I approach the forum. Everything I read is heard in my mind in a tone that we are all fans sitting around a bar talking .... about our favorite pass-time. Everything I type should also be read in the same tone. Cue up friendly voice tone, beer in one hand, and saying, ah, man, get the .... outta here, this is how I see the .... we are all talking about....etc. etc.
Anyway, cue up a nice friendly bar-room voice Krops.
You fuckers are all insane. Genuinely insane. Whatever there is in the water round your parts, you need to stop drinking it, stat. You all sit around here and churn out your groupthink, all egging each other to go ever further in your insanity. I just hope nobody starts passing out any koolaid, claiming it will help you "see through the truth of the situation", or it's Jonestown all over again. Sorry, Jumtown.
Hahahaha. As I've said before, you're a difficult one to gauge, but I'm taking it on pure faith given your supposed Brit heritage, so I'll err on the side of wit.
"Marc Marquez is the fastest motorcycle racer on the planet." Cal Crutchlow.
I think he's exaggerating, but he's special. How long did it take Rea to get within a second of Pedrosa? Over a hundred laps. How long did it take Marquez? 28 laps.
Ah yes, because Pedro was pressed in pre-season to seek the limit as he was during a championship run. I mean, thats Pedro right, giving it his all during pre-season testing as he has in the past. (sarcasm) JRea was more preoccupied with keeping the shinny side up rather than lap time, truly a feat for him requiring all his focus. I agree, Crutchlow is exaggerating here, though I thought Cal had reserved this lofty assessment for Casey... Regardless, yes, the kid is special, no doubt, I AGREE WITH YOU that he is top tier, its just your propensity to declare him the next Luke Skywaker that has me tickled. Reminds me of the "koolaid" drank by most regarding the last Euro that was declared in such lofty terms, most frustrating, the refusal to couple the record with such glaring equipment/league advantages. You would know better than us, and yet it seems every single expert sweeps it under the rug. Randy Mamola said regarding the SNS, some got them, some yes, though some got the good stuff. You may joke about the extra 200ccs, but then admit to the all important tire parameter of performance--surely making or breaking a race win, what the hell is the difference from an extra 200ccs? I suppose I'd do the same if I was in the position that discrediting the series would also discredit myself. You asked why I watch, saying it was a "genuine" question, hahaha. C'mon buddy, you know the answer, if not, geez dude, you really are suffering from tunnel vision.
The guy has a silver spoon in his mouth, because every time one falls out, there's a line of people back to Timbuktu with a new one to insert. If you think Marquez was only fast because of his bike, go check Johann Zarco's times from the Moto2 test. He has Marquez' Suter now.
Haha, ah yes, minus one special mapping. Just kidding. Zarco's ok, not Marc caliber though. Maybe Espargarom & Bradl. Agree, peeps line up to give him the best. Hell, isn't that how VR got his new factory ride? Top tier talent and the league's special baby= success. Pedros was the Marc of his day. If you had a special eye for him as you seemingly do for Marc, you would have declare the same, Pedro the new Skywalker. You can't tell me Pedro would have his record if he wasn't Puig's boy sitting on a satellite bike, being the third choice to boot, like Casey's experience. Pedro is a type of Marc, and you want to be impressed he did good on a Repsol Honda, the undisputed best bike on a depleted grid. In your estimation, where the hell would Pedro be had take the exact seats as Casey? (I hope you'd answer this rhetorical question as I hope, but frankly I have no faith in your assessments). Yet you are equating Marc to Casey, that is, a true "alien". .... NO. Just like VR is not an alien, nor Pedro. Those fuckers have been given all the best, and then some! Yes,
and then some! That is the TRUTH you insist is "conspiracy". This here is the crux of what you call group think. And it is the one point I have carried here since close to day one. The face of the sport will never admit it.
Anyway, I don't see what your problem is. Marquez is going to wrap Rossi's ... in yellow packaging paper, tie a pretty bow in it and hand it to him on a silver platter. And no amount of race fixing will prevent that.
Well, I hope you are right. I like the kid despite knowing what he has been given/earned. He is a kid, and even at his age did not display the arrogance of a Lorenzo, or as recent as a Vinalez. So I have nothing against him expect one thing, his propensity to ride reckless when unnecessary. So far I'm chalking it up to immaturity, poor handlers, and the league turning a blind eye.
