Valencia Test

Almost. Marquez has already been over promoted. He will just end up being the new Rossi, MotoMM. What they need to progress is promote all the talent thats out there. The talent that could be competing for wins and championships if only they were ever deemed 'worthy' of shoe-horning onto one of the four factory bikes. I admitt this is my same tired old theme, but either give them all factory bikes or have no factory bikes at all. Cmon Ezpeleta, stop ....... around and take the MSMA head on. You ......

Yeah. True enough on MM.

The crux of it was this bit: "it's new, exciting, real talent that should be promoted for MotoGP to progress" which was not meant to mean MM exclusively, should have left out the new...and probably the exciting...and the real bit, too. ahem.

How frustrating must it be for Marquez to hve his new ride between his legs and not be able to go out and play with it? You know....try go out and kill someone with it Marquez style.

"about right ossi 6th miles of the pace beaten by CRP"

Tongue in cheek.

""And he's being beaten by a.....DUCATI

Hahaha!!!""

Not so much. Listen, I get why people don't like Rossi, but some people are just rude. It's not just with that comment, it's regarding society in general. I come from the old school where if you are rude to someone, you are going to hear about it or worse. If you said the wrong thing to the wrong person, you get smack in the face. Unfortunately, the internet has taken that away.

And the guy about the colors. There are pics of Lorenzo's test colors. Guess what? Black and grey!

whats up with Bradley Smiths hair-line! mofo looks 50 years old!

Given that the test was of very little value - only about a quarter of it held in dry conditions, even the fastest guy 1,5 seconds behind (his own) saturday pole - I am getting a little bit irritated by Krop's bipolarism: 'Favouritism' on the one hand, 'Marquez is a machine. Totally impressive' on the other. Just sayin..

Well, these were my thoughts:

(Side note: absent: Lorenzo, Valentino. Newly sequestered: Dovi, Abraham, Barbera, surely they were good for a few tens on Pirro)

Marc managed a respectable 7th, could have easily been 10th.

A dry track allowed Marc Marquez to make his debut aboard the RC213V, the young Spaniard making a very impressive debut. Motomatters

Personally I am more impressed by Dovi's debut, as it appears he is as good or better than the supposed Goat. Maybe they will gift him the factory Yamaha next year if he remains mid-pack.

Damn weather. I'm kinda bummed that VR didn't stick around to see if day two offered a bit better weather. Anyway, regarding Marc. Making the step up may not be what it use to, I don't know, but I've heard some riders allude. Impressive, well, I suppose as impressive say JRea making his debut on Stoner's bike. I doubt most of us, except for a few Brits and maybe one German, will call JRea an "alien" right? Though I will give Marc this, Smith is unimpressive if we are to make a connection between his debut against his teammate. Well, I had a feeling we wouldn't be able to make much of a conclusion after Valencia; Marc is a very talented kid, of this there is no doubt, as is for many of his rivals, a case I've tried to make with little traction. Its Kropo's propensity to buy into the results regardless of disparity within the series, attributing superior results to particular riders who enjoy every possible advantage to succeed, is what gives me pause; I mean, if experts & insiders can made such an assessment, what chance do we have, eh. I suspect Krops will be quick to call Marc an "alien" at the earliest convenience.

You fuckers are all insane. Genuinely insane. Whatever there is in the water round your parts, you need to stop drinking it, stat. You all sit around here and churn out your groupthink, all egging each other to go ever further in your insanity. I just hope nobody starts passing out any koolaid, claiming it will help you "see through the truth of the situation", or it's Jonestown all over again. Sorry, Jumtown.

"Marc Marquez is the fastest motorcycle racer on the planet." Cal Crutchlow.

I think he's exaggerating, but he's special. How long did it take Rea to get within a second of Pedrosa? Over a hundred laps. How long did it take Marquez? 28 laps. The guy has a silver spoon in his mouth, because every time one falls out, there's a line of people back to Timbuktu with a new one to insert. If you think Marquez was only fast because of his bike, go check Johann Zarco's times from the Moto2 test. He has Marquez' Suter now.

Anyway, I don't see what your problem is. Marquez is going to wrap Rossi's ... in yellow packaging paper, tie a pretty bow in it and hand it to him on a silver platter. And no amount of race fixing will prevent that.

Will that be by taking him out in a practice session & pouncing on him in a gravel trap? In Jerez by any chance?

Karma? Kool(aid). The antirossi has been born to take revenge on behalf of SeteSpain. The shoulder is his week spot Marc, go for the shoulder.

What a windup, nice one Krop! Ok the little runt is special. Nice to see Honda provide factory support to Bradl and LCR. I feel good now its a real contest between them.

You all sit around here and churn out your groupthink

Groupthink is one problem we don't have. The conspiracy theories are non-stop b/c there is an independent faction for every half-baked conspiracy ever spit-balled in one of our threads.

Some alternative ideas, like Dorna have a vested interest in Rossi's success, have become public knowledge over time. Obviously, the public release of information doesn't remedy the underlying logical fallacies held by the fans. In the name of affirming the consequent, the fans believe the underlying premises of the status quo must be entirely false, if the 'conspiracy' theories are true. They were supposed to realize that their interpretation of the status quo never made any sense in the first place.

Basically, in my attempt to show people how the status quo works, I only made them believe that conspiracy theories are true. I'm beginning to understand why race sanctioning is a series of lies, secrets, and half-truths. The unintended consequences of revealing GP's inner workings are completely unpredictable. Sanctioning is the art of maneuvering within the public misconception, reinforcing biases whenever beneficial, and avoiding biases that cannot be overcome.

The groupthink is that everything must be a conspiracy, the wilder the better. Your explanations are generally very close to the situation as I understand it, but unfortunately you have only encouraged the nutcases.
