Turkey SPOILER

Crashy Stoner didn't deserve to win this race. The only reason he won is because Rossi ran off the track and then his Yamaha sucked and his Michelins failed.

Why doesn't that tripe always sound so stupid?

Congrats Ducati, i love the Bologna Bullet. Congrats to Stoner who rode fantastically. Congrats to Barros who nearly stole a podium spot.

Huge respect to my second favorite, but winning me over slowly, Toni Elias. He is the first man to ever pass Rossi the same way Rossi has passed everyone else--stuff it up the inside then use your machine to push them wide while you scrub off excess speed. Toni Fantastic never ceases to amaze.

Ha! Pedrosa hopes to be the best rider in the world, but he isn't even the best rider in Spain (insert maniacal laughter)

Actually, it only just started doing motogp this year, and yeah it's ok, infact has been more up to date than motogp.com. Any MotoGP is good lol

From interview from Autosport.co.uk

"He had already tried to come to apologise another time after the chequered flag. I'll say no more, I owe him twice, so I'll see him in China."

Now I really can't wait for China!!!!!!

Autosport site is pretty quality.

As for Rossi complaining, i was very disappointed to see that myself. But having been so disappointed by a poor result he did not expect means he probably isn't talking in his best sense, plus he probably feels that move was a turning point in his race fortunes because it was going ok before that.

But i do wonder if Rossi is made uncomfortable by the fact that Elias must be taken seriously as an oponent, and rossi now knows there is now someone who can beat him in a straight up fight, is not at all afraid and is willing to hang it out that little bit more than he is. Thats not a situation rossi has been in before and i'd imagine it doesnt feel good

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (jazkat @ Apr 22 2007, 08:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>stoner is just on a lucky streek, wont be long before he starts smashing ducati's up into tiny pieces, he had the track to himself while everyone behind was battling it out obvious he was gonna ride to victory, rossi has bad luck following him around again but he will pull it back im sure.
was dissapointed in todays race specialy with elias for riding like a 3 year old on a tricycle geez if you got a line stick to it, rossi should have just gone into his garage and rammed a wrench up his backside. imagine elais done that on the first corner it would be A DISASTER.

until next time

Elias did nothing wrong except riding hard against anyone no matter how many championships they have, rossi doesnt seem to like his own medicine.

Stoner just on a lucky streak?? yeah right, Stoner is using skill to win these races and hes doing a brilliant and mature job this year.

how did you see the crash, what i think i saw was pedroboy clip the nearside rear wheel of jackque who what then shoved into edwards.

Yep..
I think it must make Rossi think about it twice.
Like you said, this isn't a situation where Rossi has been in before, so for sure he's a bit ''shocked'' about it.

Actually I think this should make Rossi even more determined. After last season he obviously was/is very eager to show who's the best. I consider his main rivals to be Dani and Casey, but Elias is only one behind Dani, and Elias showed he's not impressed by Rossi. The guy definitely isn't ''afraid'' of Vale, and I like that about him!!!!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ Apr 22 2007, 11:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>There is no doubt that accident was OJ's fault all the way. If Stoner can do what he did today without impressing you then maybe your watching the wrong sport, or just not watching at all. Elias is a hard rider and so is Rossi, it was close but somebody has to lose, nothing unfair about that. I thought rossi was gonna play it smart and look after his tires but instead he burned them up asap.

Thanks for clearing that up I just heard one of the commentators mention OJ getting a nudge on the rear tyre, but when you are restricted to watching the race on the poor excuse of a stop start stuttering channel like motogp.com, things get a little frustrating.

Wouldn't be the first time!

Haven't seen it yet, but it sounds like a corker! Thanks folks!!!!

Casey? Another win? So it appears it was not a lucky start after all. You make it sound like it was convincing.

Tony Elias? Did he stick it to Rossi 'Jerez Gibbers style'? Superb,...I can't wait to see it! Valentino has done it plenty of times, and I love that about him. If he's 'finally' getting some back, then it will get really exciting!
<

Obviously Valentino had problems, I'm suprised to hear comments that he was 'whining'! Not his style at all, he's normally pretty gracious.

Eurosport!!!!!! Now normally you can watch replays all evening long. Tonight, what do I have? Well much as I love Champcars, World Snooker from the crucible, or trying to spot Ben in the London Marathon, I'd still rather be seeing what you lot are going on about! It'll have to wait until tommorrow, I hope!

Oh, and why did I miss it? I was riding.

How did I get on? The bike broke down!

In the first ten laps everybody was equal in tyres. Stoner leave the fourth position to strike the three ahead in just two laps and open gas to make a incredible gap. I preffer call this earnest.

He had the track to himself thanks to his merit. All that effort was not lucky in my point of view.

We won't have replays til 2230H tonight! That means I'll have to wait to before I could watch the 125cc race, and the first half of the 250cc - stupid Star Sports aired a 9 ball tournament instead! And that was while they were plugging MotoGP on the same exact time for the whole week. Idiots!

I think that was sarcasm mate.

Great race finally (I was disappointed with first two).

Stoner was excellent!

I really don't think Ellias should apologize to Rossi. He was great, and I'm glad for Loris too.

Oh, I hate those big crashes, I get scared! I didn't check yet, but I see some of you mention they're all ok.

Rossi... well, something was obviously wrong, but it should make things more interesting for future races.

What is that thing on Loris' gloves?

I'm pretty sure thats not the case, Pedrosa was on the outside of OJ, and when Olivier lost control Dani was taken down.

I think Elias needs to do more than pass Rossi in a couple of races to be looked on as a major threat. Unless he changes drastically he's just as likely to follow KRJR for a few races as fight with Vale.

I think Casey is the guy to watch this season without a doubt. Elias is highly entertaining and more than a bit nuts, but as I said in another thread earlier, he was lucky not to put them both in the Clinica Mobile today.

It's obvious that Elias isnt afraid of Rossi, but today, and plenty other times, I thought he was more than a wee bit ragged. To be honest, once he had a bit of space it gave me a chance to not think about who he was gonna crash into next!

He reminds me of Juan Pablo Montoya when he was in F1, fast, but the last person you wanna go into a corner alongside!

I think it's too early in the season to be comparing Rossi to Gibernau! But of course they both won 7 GP titles before they started to complain about things didnt they. Oh sorry Gibernau won Jack .... titles.

My humble opinion is that Elias has the potential to be a pain in the arse to Rossi, Stoner et al a few times a year, but I'll be very surprised if he manages any more than that.

Anyhoo, Hayboy will be thankin the Good Lord for crashes and tyre problems again today, these are the things that make him look so much better than KRJR when it comes to title defenses.

Pete
