Hmmm, well I hope you're wrong, lets face it we want scraps for places and Elias is obviously willing to scrap. I look forward to seeing more from this guy.

I think Elias is emerging as a very real championship threat, I hope it wasn't a lucky race and he gets more confidence. its a long old season.

Well, somebody said he did took out De Puniet last year. I didn't see De Puniet make the same problems out of it as Rossi did with Elias. By the way, Elias apologised like a chicken at the end of the race. Did Rossi apologise to Randy ? Maybe he did, but I didn't see it.

As for dangerous manouvres, I saw Rossi make a lot of them. I even checked on Wikipedia some of his other dangerous manouvres. Seems like he did a lot worse than Elias. He did extremely dangerous manouvres to Biagi, Gibernau, Pedrosa and Barros according to wikipedia. On sunday he did a similar manouvre as Elias to Hopkins. And so on and so on. So who does the guy thinks he is ? He thinks the rules are for the others, not for himself ? Or what does he actually think ? The worst thing was when he cheated the night before the race and he got a penalty because Sete asked for that. He was angry with Sete. I mean, he cheats and when he gets caught he gets angry !!! How can anyone be such a hypocrite.

Anyway, Elias did a great move. Did you also notice that Rossi lost the WC last year thanks to Elias ? Not only because he made him fall, but because of his win in Portugal. If it wasn't for that win, Rossi would have still won the title. I think that is the reason Rossi is really pissed with Elias. When Elias is in form, he can beaten everyone, even big Valentino. The problem is Elias looks a bit irregular to really win the title. Maybe, when he matures he gets more regular. In any case I hope so.

There are many reasons why Rossi didn't win the world title. to pin point one and say "oh well if that hadn't happened............." is useless.

Very true Tom, but its nice to look at those coincidences with Elias.
Elias took him down the first race.
Then he beat him at Estoril.

Interesting things to look at.

Of course there are many reasons. But whatever the reasons were, if Rossi would have beaten Elias in Portugal, he would have been world champion. And the thing is, a rider can always fall, can always have bad luck, ... you can do very little to bad luck and tiny mistakes that make you fall. It can happen to the best. But winning that race was within his powers and he lost it because Toni owned the guy in that race and it must have hurt Rossi so much to have lost the title because he lost that fight against Elias. I think Rossi hates Elias for that. Rossi is not a kind guy, you know. If you beat him, he doesn't respect you but just hates you more. It is not coincidence that he has always a fight with people that can beat him. I never saw him fight with the lesser riders. But he looked for the fight against Biaggi, Sete and Pedrosa and that is no coincidence.

Most things should be considered within rossi's powers, and much of his performance last year was out of his usual character. I know your an Elias fan but i feel you are over playing his significance in the 2006 title compared to other riders or events. However i agree that Rossi never has any friction with riders he does not consider to be a threat, however he has made a conscious effort to diffuse any problems with Dani. I think his Issues with Sete were almost entirely mind games, but he really didn't like Biaggi.

Ha! If Elias is going to be a championship contender someone will be dead by the end of the season with his riding style.

hahaha what a ridiculous thing to say.

Maybe I've got the rider confused, but I seem to remember Rossi knocking Barros off his bike during a race, and when asked afterwards Barros replied "thats racing".... Rossi should learn that too..... thats racing, and sometimes things don't go your way.

I think we actually need a guy like Elias. Someone who doesn't care whether your name is Valentino Rossi..
At least he ain't afraid to overtake ''the doctor''.
I like that about him..

Rossi shouldn't complain, he should let the riding do the talking..

Exaggeration much? Elias's riding style is a joy to watch, and he isn't dangerous unless you think "If I block him, he'll back off because I'm Rossi and he's only Elias".

Do you guys and girls PM together to syncronize your "Rossi is a dangerous rider that hate all real contenders and most of all is a whiner"?

Which 250's have you been watching?
What a thrilling and overwealming race, i still don't know what to make of so many people having such good and such bad results. I love motogp.

Hayden best Michelin, its a start!!
yeah - maybe that should be a new prize category. or most consistent with least 1st places prize. or just .... traddy or something like that - keep it up haystack

Stoner is quite easily upset by tough racing and always has been. I think the fuss about Rossi is that he is usually the one saying "thats racing" and he is usually thrilled to have a hard battle.
