Stoner's health issues

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BarryMachine @ Jul 14 2009, 02:55 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>But like I've said before it just makes it all the more obvious that Stoner is the guy to beat.
Yes he was in 2008 when he was raining champion but now Rossi is raining champion so he is the man to beat you noob.

Edit:Just for you inforamtion barry he was well beaten in 2008.

I don't think you get it, Stoner is still the man to beat. He's the fastest, ok he had a few offs and machine prob's in 08 but that doesn't stop him being the guy to beat.

Rossi knew it in 08, and still knows it now. But the real telling thing, is that the Rossifans are most spooked by Stoner, nobody else, just Stoner, so he is the guy to beat still. MAybe if the Rossifans weren't so obsessed about him I could believe otherwise, but until then, keep up the sooking cos thats what Rossi fans do at there main nemesis.

Edit: Just to show you how "wacked" the rossifans can get ....

remember the incident at the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca 08? luckiest man alive Rossi was that he didn't kill them booth!, all the Rossifns were clling it the greatest Pass in history

At least Rossi himself has some dignity and admits it was a mistake that occurred at Laguna 08 and that they were lucky

Another typical post from blind Stoner fan who is willing to ignore all the statistics from 2008. Just to let you know that your man who is still to beat according to you is already beaten by 93points difference in 2008.

Stoner is excellent rider who is title contender this year along side Jorge but man to beat this year is Rossi.

Id not been on here for a week or 2 and wanted to check in to see if anyone had any updates on Caseys health, i am going to send a text later today to see if I can get any news and i log on here and read all of this.

I think it would be a good idea to have a 'sticky' thread where any Casey Moaner, Rossi Fanboy rivalry is placed. Getting off topic is one thing but constant badgering is so annoying. If the moderators can move offending posts to that thread then we will all be happy. That way we can log into a thread and find out the information we want. And if people want to sling at each other then they also have a place to do that, and its clearley defined and you know what you are getting yourself into when you open the thread.

I joined this forum as when I came across it it had some great, knowledgable peeps, great photos and some info that people found from different sources, ie saved me trawling the whole net, could come here and expect upto date info and discussion. But sometimes peoples opinions just get out of hand. And when i log onto a thread called Caseys fitness or whatever i dont really fancy reading that someone thinks this and someone thinks that about a completley unrelated topic.

So to the point at hand, if i find anything out about his fitness ill post on here asap.

What a passionate Audience, as Eccelstein said 'I am an foremost an Entertainer'. This banter is exacly what I would expect from Motorcyclist's who are glued to the Dorna website daily and are prepared for the TV broadcast an hour before kickoff with their mates in toe and a beer in hand.- (As Iam!)

We all have to admitt, that without Biaggi, Gibbers, Hayden and Stoner, Rossi would not have been able to put on the remarkable show which he has.

Rossi's obvious advantage, apart from being to most capable steerer, is one Jeremey Burgess who never fails to get a 'Thank You' from VR, enough said.

And you're right, as has been the case for the past 10 years or so, VR is the man to beat.

German MotoGP: Casey Stoner treated for anaemia
Rigorous medical checks conducted on Casey Stoner after the recent American MotoGP race have revealed the 2007 world champion is suffering from gastritis and mild anaemia.

Stoner has been dogged by health problems at the last three races in Catalunya, Assen and Laguna Seca, which have included chronic fatigue, nausea and arm pump.

Gastritis is an inflammation of the lining of the stomach, which might go someway to explaining why Stoner was so badly hampered by severe stomach cramps in Catalunya and Assen.

The Aussie delayed his return back to Europe while he underwent lengthy medical assessments in California after he struggled to fourth place in Laguna Seca.

Stoner will continue to undergo treatment over the coming weeks for both conditions, with doctors assuring him that he should be back to full fitness in a matter of week.

Stoner, who heads to this weekend’s German MotoGP at the Sachsenring trailing series leader Valentino Rossi by 16-points, said: "I have been in the USA until Saturday to do all the tests. I’d like to say thanks to all the doctors and hopefully step by step I will feel better with their indications."

Of more pressing concern for Stoner is the fact that he’s being hampered now by badly bruised ribs that he injured in a spectacular high-side crash in Laguna Seca.

He added: "I still don’t feel like I am 100 per cent but the biggest problem now is the ribs that are very painful after the crash in qualifying. It will be probably another hard week end, but as always, we will do our best to stay as much as possible close to the lead of the championship".

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Stoner stayed on in the United States following the last race to undergo a series of examinations designed at pinpointing the exact nature and cause of his current illness. The examinations have confirmed a slight gastritis and mild anaemia, which left him weak and for which he will continue to receive treatment in the coming weeks as he attempts to recover full strength. Doctors are sure that with the right treatment he will be back to full fitness in a matter of weeks. (roadracingworld.com)

Man, I'm really impressed with Casey. I mean yeah, you can give credit to Lorenzo, but then again, his injuries were self inflicted by crashes. Stoner's been riding with a bug that wouldn't go away, and now its confirmed he had blood depletion in his system. Makes Lorenzo's "heroics" pale in comparison.

wow thats the best excuse i have ever seen to cover for anxiety......

i dont dislike stoner but i do not believe that at all.

i mean i could believe the anemia??? and its prob making him axious but the gastritis is pure .......

but whatever get well soon.

Yup, sounds like more ........ to me. He has anxiety no question. They are just searching for a cause. He has a Jorge up his ... and a Rossi stuck in his pee hole, thats the problem. And the dude just cant take the pressure. Forget physiotherapist Freddy, he just needs to spend some time with jumkies buddy with the van and chill out a bit. Is that what Casey was doing all week in socal? Visiting some weed banks.

You know, I think all this mysterious illness blah blah blah is due to the pressure this year. I too think he's suffering from anxiety, I believe so because that's just his character. He was picked on and bullied as a child, and now that things aren't going his way in motorcycle racing(which is his domain and 'safe' place) ...... he's starting to panick and feel insecure, and old memories of being bullied around are rushing back. Sure I don't doubt that he's physically ailing, but your mental state of mind can have a physical effect on your body.

Good to hear they ahve worked out the root of the problem, sounds like he should be back to full fitness for the race after next.

Man what these guys can do is amazing, Danni riding with his busted hip, Lorenzo wiht his breaks and snaps, Casey with Anemia and some stomach lining thing.

They earn their money.

ahh shoot, it's a start...

i remember having gastritis in high school...then it worsened over time and bless me, my friend "stomach ulcer" doesn't forget reminding me he's around.

hopefully, casey recovers. from my experience, gastritis is bad enough.
