...... tent. It might have been one of those quick pitch things but it took a ...... lifetime to get back in the bag.

In my defence, it was quite a heavy night preceding the tent take down...Stella, Merrydown, woods and the stuff in ya little plastic box Philip !

Buy a cheap .... tent then leave it behind.

Fair play mate.

Oh and you did have the recovery man to deal with at such an ungodly hour the same morning.

Oh ....! Did I type that out loud!!!!

EDIT and it aint friggin sunday! Less of the Phillip!

Or one of Kesh's rubber Gimp suites .

<

Rog, the 'e' makes ALL the difference!
<

Suit - A set of clothing.

Suite - A connected series of rooms.

Or maybe you're right, and Kesh DOES have a whole suite of rooms finished with leather wallpaper?!

(You never can tell with those Noo Yawkers....

If they have ben quoted correctly in the just released edition of australian motorcycle news, it would seem that krsr, wayne rainey and kevin schwantz all qualify as neo boppers along with cal, and that (for johnny knockdown) I am afraid krsr of all people is a quitter and betrayer of the working class.

I quote

" Roberts retired from gp racing after losing the epic 1983 500cc world championship to Freddie Spencer. Like stoner, he made up his mind early in the season to retire; he just didn't announce it. Having won two AMA Grand National Championships, then three 500cc World championships in a row, Roberts knew it was time to move on. 'There's a lot of bricks that get put in your backpack and every year there's a few more,' Roberts began, 'and after a while -I always said the same thing; when I no longer eat, sleep this thing, I'm done, because it's a lot of work. Of course I had children, so that was another reason. When you're doing that and you don't absolutely care, it's not the main thing in your life, I don't believe you're going to be good at it. So maybe he wants to quit on top. Because when your heart is no longer in it, you're no longer going to push it to that limit day in and day out, and maybe that's what he's thinking about. Maybe it takes too much out of him to push it to that limit now.'. But Roberts believes Stoner can still win races and the championship".

To cut the subsequent article short, including qualifying statements by roberts: "Can he do it? Yes, obviously he's got a talent to do that".

Stefan Bradl would appear to be delusional as well: "If he wants to go fishing for the rest of his life, he has the right".

Both John Surtees and Gary Hocking walked away from the No.1 plate.

From memory, Lawson walked away mid season under huge villification from his plaudits, peers and within the paddock.

Different category, and certainly a different age but Bayliss walked away as the #1 as well didn't he?

Guess there are more quitters in the world than we like to admit

I hate this 'he's a quitter' notion. He's not exactly obliged to keep racing to provide entertainment is he? And from what i've seen a lot of comments on the web that call him a quitter are from people who hate him anyway. The guy can't win....

Spot on, he's quitting coz he can't win

And a quote of "And don't ....... come back" or words to that effect from Schwantz

Anyone missing Barry? Why is the ghost of Casey's past hiding anyway?

Barry - there is still a whole season for you to explain to us what's going on in MGP - without your input I'm lost as to what Ducati is testing to improve its VHM (HMV, MVH, ABC, XYZ - whatever!). Is Adrianna really pregnant again? Will Casey take up backing in road trains on the run through Darwin? Have you fallen into a black hole of knowledge, Barry, or is that wooshing sound just an antipodean toilet flush?

i wish schwantz was half as intelligent as he was spectacular on a bike (don't know/care if he said anything to that effect, he has proven his low IQ a lot of times these last years)
