Not to put too fine a point on it but The Yamahas and Hondas were FASTER
in the rain. Rossi was able to compete because there was less grip overall
in the rain. Even if Rossi hadn't crashed - he'd never have caught up with
an equally crashless Simoncelli or Lorenzo. I mean ...., everything is
"relative" bro.

Sorry, but I just noticed somebody added "spoiler" to "Rossi takes out Stoner" to the thread title. Amazing. Why don't we make a thread title with the heading; podium results: "Lorenzo wins, Pedro hands on for 2nd, and shock, Nicky on the podium" then add, spoiler to it.

It was quite an apposite comment. It was factually correct, it showed stoner's knowledge of gp racing history given he would have been quite young when the comment was made, and by implication who stoner thinks is the real goat. He is correct about the latter; stoner is no mick doohan, but neither is rossi.

Acting like a spoilt ..... isn't going to endear him to the majority of fans, but he probably doesn't care about that.
Every rider has a sob story. Stoner himself has lost the front end of the Ducati many times, so for him to make those comments is sheer hypocrisy.
Funniest thing for me is the knowledge that by the time the aussie fanboys finished here it was late night for them. They all went to bed so wound up they will be tossing and turning all night and getting very little sleep. I hope they all feel like .... tomorrow morning at work
No, I went to bed knowing that by the morning you guys would manage to warp reality into rossi being the wronged party in all this. Someone had already claimed more marshalls had helped stoner than rossi, and you somehow had lorenzo getting away from rossi from a position behind him.
If casey decides to do a runner from the front in every race from now on, given that he now has confirmation that rossi can't be trusted to race fairly or safely, you will doubtless say rossi has intimidated him.
