So did MM protect Lorenzo ?

What drives the Rossi haters like Arab is not the love of the sport but the hate of Rossi. To reason with them is not possible.

I was about to answer, but Arrab put it so much better

The Mr.Hyde side??? - You mean the one that does not accord with your viewpoint?

Ha! Guilty by association?? Indicted by 'likes etc'. with some of the 'notorious Rossi haters on this forum'???!!?? (JK, you were right all along about that damn button). Which leads you through your impeccable powers of reasoning and deduction to this conclusion...

'Not the love of the sport' - Please feel free to elaborate.

As I mentioned last week, I don't have a favourite rider and as I stated earlier today, I detest the tribalism on here...

If you wish to continue this discussion in respect of 'true love for this sport' I would be delighted to do so coming from someone who pledged last week on this forum that they only care about 'idolising Valentino Rossi'.

Evolution: You sir, just got served....

No, no.
It's the Truth!
The Spanish Svengali even has form in manipulating championships. You only need to look at 2006 to realise that he has learnt subtlety after that clumsy and obvious effort. This time his plan came to fruition.
Diabolical!

So, it;s like the Spanish Illuminati? Or SPECTRE!

Ah, of course,i'll get my missus to try that later cos i can only type one fingered anyway

Why? Is the other finger up your ...? :giggle:

And yet, another 'turtle' was in the title chase up until the very last race ........ go figure, but sometimes fast and furious is not the ideal way to the end of the road

True. MM and JL sometimes need to be a bit more smart about it. Last time Lorenzo fell was so stupid. Worst part is that before he fell, I was fearing it because he was chasing MM but MM was unatainable because he pitted a lap earlier for tyre changes and it gave him a too huge advantage. There was no reason for him to push so hard. Completely ......... They really have to learn to be a bit less stupid about it. I don't know whether Lorenzo will ever learn it. The guy is 28 years old and riding a lot of years in MotoGP but still he puts of this kind of stupid childish tactic. For Marc there is still hope. At least someone of his team stated yesterday that Marc realized that he sometimes has to settle for 4th if he wants to win championships. We will see in future.

Anyway, it is true that Rossi isn't the fastest. But you can't compare Pedrosa with Rossi. Pedrosa isn't really a turtle ... I exagerated a bit. And he might be a bit faster than Rossi nowadays, I think. But Pedrosa isn't a fighter. You saw how he ....... his pants yesterday after just 1 fight with MM ? He never dared to overtake him again. Lorenzo, MM and Rossi are not afraid of a real fight. Pedrosa is a chicken. So I don't see Pedrosa ever standing a chance to win a championship in MotoGP. His only hope is if Honda produces the fastest moto and Marquez crashes with heavy injury that keeps him out of a few races. Else, I don't see Pedrosa ever win a MotoGP title.

Did you not see Aragon?

He fought and bettered one of the best that there has ever been.

Plus he fought back from breaking both legs to remain a dominant force in the 250cc era and moved up to MotoGP.

He has probably been the most injured MotoGP rider in the 4 stroke days and yet he is not a fighter?

Pedrosa is more a fighter than many give credit

How is GraciasMarquez finding the time for all these posts he is making what with all the Marc Marquez .... sucking he has to do?
Maybe because I don't do .... sucking. Sorry man, not everyone is like you. Don't forget to brush your teeth after swallowing Rossi's load.

No, I didn't see it. I didn't watch all races this season. Just a selection. I am just basing myself on the races I saw and the previous years. I know Dani as a chicken. The guy that when he gets pole you never see him back again but if he has to start from 4th position, yo know with 99 % certainty that he will not win the race. The guy that backs off after a bit of a harsh duel, like he did yesterday.

I will guarantee you that all but two riders who competed would happily swap places with this 'guy who backed off after a harsh duel'.

Before saying that he cannot fight, perhaps research as whilst yes he will often disappear at the front is it not the best way to win ........... from teh front.

As they say, it is not about being fastest but being faster than the others on the track and it does not matter how.

I am not saying he is a bad rider. I am not against him. I support him. But he just isn't on the level of MM, JL and the young Rossi. And honestly, I think that there are other riders out there with an inferior bike that have more balls than Pedrosa. For example, Toni Elias. One of the few guys that won a direct last laps battle with Rossi in his good years.

Yeah and Troy Bayliss only has one testicle.

Let's see how he goes next year, seems like his arm pump issues might finally be sorted. It's a bit hard to Marquez it (and by that I mean brutal precision with massive physical confidence) when you have no grip strength.

Elias beat Rossi once .......... Pedrosa has beaten Rossi a few more times tahn that.

To sell Pedrosa short (pun totally intended) is a mistake as he is one fo the top 4 and has been for years now. You do not get that opportunity by being a chump or non-competitive, you get it through dogged hard work, ability and results ........ he may not have a MotoGP world championship, but then again, aside from JL, VR and MM, no other rider in MotoGP today has either (it is Monday, Hayden is in WSBK now so misses out)

BTW, Gibernau, Biaggi, KRJr, Stoner, Lorenzo, Pedrosa amongst others (not many, but others) all beat Rossi in his 'good years' , not just Elias

What did you do with his other testicle ?

TB donated it to science ............ they needed to study just how much balls one needed to ride and race a top level bike, and he figured he had enough to go around so gave one up.

Keep dreaming waxworks.

It's actually buried in the seat of his 1098 Ducati WSBK..when it tried the throw him off testicle first...

Isn't the finger also still on the Donnington surface as well?

I guess we will not get in agreement on this topic. I agree Pedrosa is a good rider but I just don't see him having the balls of the guys you mentioned. Comparing Pedrosa with Stoner, Biaggi, Lorenzo or Marquez ? I think the difference is obvious.

Toni Elias never got a good bike under his .... I would love to see him on the same Honda as Pedrosa. It would not surprise me if Dani would lose against him. Sometimes you need to be a bit lucky in your career. You might be good but if you don't get a good enough bike you can't compete. You saw the difference between Rossi's Yamaha and the rest of the pack. It almost looked like if Rossi would have squared wheels, he would still beat them all.

Oh nice. Maybe they find a way to transplant a testicle cell into Rossi fans brain. At the least better this than a complete empty head.

Elias had and still has a unique style that he has not really adjusted throughout the years which has led to his lean times where others have learnt and changed styles throughout the evolution of these bikes.

The issue with Elias has been more Elias who, whilst talented has greatly lacked any real level of consistency and whilst true he beat VR, he also had access to VR's tyres for that one event as he could not adjust or get the
non sns' to work for him.

One rider I did also forget is Melandri who also beat VR in his good years and personally, a rider I rate (pre Ducati) as far better than Elias, but the career killer killed his career as it has done near all.

You are right, we wont agree as to undersell what Pedrosa has achieved is a mockery as you do not win three world championships, multiple races and numerous podiums and not know how and when to fight.

You have to see it in perspective hey. When I say Pedrosa is a chicken, it is relative to the top tier guys. Of course, he probably has 10 times more balls than 99.9 % of the population. So yes, of course he is a great rider. But I am comparing his style with some of the other riders. Anyway, we know each other's opinion about it.
