San Marco SIC Marino GP: Prediction, Practice, Qual - WARNING THIS THREAD MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS, WHO

I'm not aware that anyone has suggested he's washed up

Really?

Half the post on here are about how he has lost it - too old, new breed, can't compete, etc.

Sorry, of you haven't seen any posts intimating he's washed up you need to loosen your filter, it's cutting off half the posts.

Barbera can apologize all he wants, the vid tells a diff story. If he dont have enuf sense to see Dani ...... him, or if he just decided to cop the blame knowing dumb popular opinion would see it otherwise, makes no diff to me.

It obviously does matter to you. You keep insisting your version is right, even in the face of numerous statements by the riders involved. For some reason, you are intent on sticking to your version of the story rather than admitting it was pure speculation that turned out to be incorrect.

Barbera ran into the back of Pedrosa - great bit of track-side camera work shows it as clear as day.

Cameras also pick up Barbera apologising to Pedrosa as they walk away.

Maybe HRC has paid him a shedload to keep Pedrosa's reputation intact?

When it comes to Pedro you soon learn you simply cant take Jumkies opinions seriously - he has a six year old grudge he has yet to let go of.

Hey, whats up bro. Good to hear from u.

Sounds to me that Kropo was not making a judgement but rather echoed the press release surely prescribed for Barbera.

But nonetheless, the video of the incident is there for any of us to analyze from the comfort of our on perspective. But, u should know, a press release or a jounalist's point of view is not the end all to be all. I suspect Hectors PR represented was in damage control mode given the sudden outpouring of sympathy for Pedro, and the fact that he was in the lime light as the points picture was in sharp focus. Have u ever read the many journal, former racer/champ, spectator opinions on many famous incidents? U'd be hard pressed to find consensus on incidents that seeminly seem black and white. Im calling this one Pedros fault! Anybody is free to debate me beyond Hectors scripted press release. For me, Pedros desperation coupled with his state of mind (think about what he just went thru in the last few minutes) caused that incident. Not to mention, his little outburst for which he was flat out wring regarding the protocol. Now take that contex, watch the vid, and read my previous description of it. Then refute if u so desire brotha.

Oh, and u must have been thru the moon with VRs results. Good for u, something to cheer about under dry conditions. But dont get too excited, i still think Duc is .....

The best bit now is watching Jum meltdown over his conflicting emotions. Glee that Pedrosa was taken out in that way, & despair that Rossi got a podium in the dry.

Everybody insists they are right genius. Ur post here is insisting u are right and i must be wrong, as are almost all of ur contributions on the forum. Who the hell comes on and presents an opinion they dont believe? Breathtaking insight u got there.

Numerous statements? Uhm, are u aware these guys have hired PR managers? Regarding their first reactions, thats in the moment. In the heat of the moment, Pedro waved his arms in disgust as if he had been the victim when he torpedoed Nicky. When Kalio torpedoed Melandri, Kalio proceeded in cussing him out on track. When Stoner was torpedoed by Rossi, he clapped at him sarcastically as he passed by, only later to release an official statement that Rossi was not at fault. When Rea torpedoed Haslam, Leon didnt blame him despite mist sane peeps seeing there was no gap. Statements dont mean ..... Decide for urself based on what u see. The vid is there. Ur opinion may be its Barberas fault. But u'd be wrong.

Nah I know what you mean. After re-watching the race on Speed, it seemed that Pedders was almost in the clear, but I'm not going to put the blame on really either of them. I'll rather attribute it to the ghost of Sic haunting Pedrosa at the track
<

Yeah I wasn't as ecstatic as you would think. The results were spoiled when I saw people posting about it on FB and from a few texts from friends this morning. Also, if Stoner and Pedrosa would have started ahead of him, it might have been a different story. The positive that I was able to take from it is he wasn't losing a ton of ground from Lorenzo during the race so I'm happy the bike has progressed significantly. As luck would have it now, it would be funny to see the bike as a regular podium contender by the end of the season Haha!

Btw...where's the recap of Laguna weekend and the pics? Did you put them on FB?

No conflict bro. Rossi's podium was a gift of circumstance. But by all means, enjoy it. Its not like u guys havent been cheering a facade all these years anyway, and to be continued next year.

Ur a true Rossi fan Heisman, not a bopper. I wish there were more like u and less like Goaty.

Regarding Laguna, right after that weekend i went to see my Brit family, at so that occupied 3 weeks after Laguna (the week after the event, then 2 gone in UK). By the time i recovered, it was a month post event. Then the forum had a glitch, and i cant post the pics as i usually could. So eventually i learn how to do thos Photofucket thing and post for ur viewing pleasure. The important thing is we were there, and have the memories of a lifetime. Which i intend to do again next year.

Pedrosa was long past Barbera on the straight, watch the onboard. Barbera probably thought when Ped. Outbraked de Puniet he could profit by joining him, sadly in doing so he overcooked it.

Trying the Handbrake thang... All I see is Hector way missing his braking point.

Have at it gents!!

actually, one statement means ..... yours. i saw the vid. the whole world did. its barbera's fault. i read your posts and you also talk about riders state of mind. you really believe you know everything. you actually know nothing. especially about that part, "state of mind" ..... absolutely. nothing. really. trust me.

but i have to agree that we cant say if the ducati bike has improved until we see the remaining races.

- JLo - Nicely done again, maybe soon to be world champ again

- Rossi - BEST Ducati Rider in the World....about time

- Bautista - Where did that come from? Oh yeah....the scare of unemployment

- Dovi - Clearly you are the 1 rider at Ducati next year, if only you'd been a little faster

- Spies - You got beat by B team riders...no wonder your only option was Pramac

- Bradl - If you'd only had Bautista's bike...

- Hayden - 7th was a Gift of Circumstance and you got your ... handed to you by your teammate (again)

- Rea - Respectable, another lap and you'd had a minor scalp

- Pedrosa - Karma is a ....., but if true then you might still pull it off this year....

- Cal - Bad luck, but no worries....hang in there...

- Barbera - You might want to consider relocating to the US...

- Karel - Damn that looked like an awful crash...and i totally understand why you and team are Running away from Ducati next year...

That makes Rossi's acheivement all the more impressive...

Absolute agree...If Stoner, Pedrosa and Cal had been there to the end then Yes Rossi might have been less than 2nd.....and Ben S would have been 8th and Hayden would have been 10th....so the gifting was good for all....

Agreed and Jonny would have still beaten all the CRTs and the customer dukes which is a fantastic result for his first go with minimal practice.

Boring processional race. Last lap by Dovi and Alvaro was too little too late to wake me up. Wasn't overly impressed by Rossi's second place, I was expecting him to be 3rd thanks to the recent tests at Misano but Pedro evaporated so he was 2nd. Great. I think the Ducati has improved a little though, but not from 7th to 2nd; more like from 7th to 4th. A step forward no doubt, but there too, too little too late...

This kind of MotoGP is doomed.
