So here we go again, what is wrong with this stupid man, he acts like a thug, yet only gets a 2 race ban. I think he should be banned for life, what do you think?

I think he should have his license revoked and sent to see a psychiatrist at the very least before being allowed back on a bike, that behaviour isn't normal.

I don't think he should be allowed to race in any series anywhere. Racing licence revoked. It's not his first foray into bad sporting behaviour.

The 2 race ban is a bit sad. Disappointed in that outcome.

I am a hard ....... when it comes to .... like this so here goes.

10 year FIM licence ban based on this incident however I also believe that past should be taken into account and only 3 years back he carried on like a spoilt child at Ajo, kicking out etc during practice. For that I would add 25% to my original penalty to bring to 12.5 years.

I would also ban him from racing altogether at any FIM sanctioned event (in some cases this can be at national level) for 2 years with a further 8 years suspended.

I can accept a mistake once, I cannot accept stupidity on track and his actions, not once but twice have shown he has no regard for other riders, and no regard whatsoever for their safety.

As usual, the FIM stewards have shown that they have no real idea when it comes to implementing deterrent penalties.

Dropped by his team and now also lost his MV Augusta contract for next year... Really, what a dead set ....... drop kick. The sport is filled with talented young kids who would appreciate and do anything for the opportunities that this ...... seems to flush down the toilet... further proof he has .... for brains.

He looks like he’s been gifted a few broken noses in his time... couldn’t imagine why?

i agree he should be banned but what if he waited on the racing line and intentionally drove his opponent wide causing him to crash because he couldn't handle the close racing. can you imagine not getting black flagged for that or worse keeping your points AND having nothing happen to you except 3 points on your license. Just Asking for a friend.

He clearly has psychological issues. Someone with those issues shouldn't be on a track. Season ban.

That sort of behaviour has no place on any track, on any weekend around the world, not least a FIM world championship level race.

Gaz above reasoned with a 10 year ban. I cannot argue this, except I would argue a lifetime FIM ban. Hopefully raceteams will take the actions that the FIM stewards are unable to and enforce a ban via no contract.

Fenati, you've had more than enough chances. Little prick should be fined severely, and kicked out the gate.

Don't forget the bit about kicking your opponent off his bike.

I agree with Crutchlow, he should be banned for life. Absolutely inexcusable behaviour, especially so considering it is his 3rd strike, the kid won't learn and never will. There are plenty of kids to take his place.

Krops wrote an interesting article on the subject and concluded that Fenati simply needs to mature, and a lifetime ban is probably too much. I disagree, he has shown he is a hothead who cannot control his emotions beyond that of someone who is simply immature. Would he say the same of Anthony Gobert? Fast racer or not, both of them will forever be bad eggs.

The most disturbing aspect of this incident is that it wasn't an immediate reaction in the heat of the moment. Fenati's brake lever pull was obviously premeditated.

Obviously no one here has actually raced ... "anything". If any of you had, you'd understand the emotion behind his actions ... Senna crashed out Prost on purpose in F1 and wasn't banned for life ... yet many still consider Senna the greatest F1 driver of all time (I don't but some do).

Having raced 14 years there are times when you'll lose it because of another racers actions or even actions off track and from other events (they accumulate).

I'm not justifying Fenati's retaliation but that sort of activity happens all the time in all forms of racing (heck in NASCAR it's "the norm" at 150-200 MPH), it's just less obvious and often passed of as an "accident" when it was deliberate.

I keep hoping this website matures, but after the long diatribe about Rossi (yet again by those that just seem so incredibly jealous of him ... so much so to keep ranting about him), it seems to be run by a bunch of children with ZERO racing experience and zero moderation ... may as well be Reddit.

What a wacky site this is ... can't believe someone is paying to keep this website open ... for what?

Senna had plausible deniability, and Prost had the option not to turn in at Suzuka.

Also, motorcycles are much more dangerous than cars.

Agree about the infatuation with Rossi.

Oh, and I've raced quite a bit...as has Cructhlow et al and they hated it. Unless you've raced more than Crutchlow?

Argumentum ad verecundiam was the logical flaw when you previously claimed special racing expertise, which many posters on this forum have in any case, and remains so.

What the members of this forum have long given up hope of seeing is the cessation of Rossi and his fanboys getting miffed with, and immediately proceeding to denigration of, pretty much any rider who challenges him, let alone beats him, as MM is threatening to do in the future in regard to total number of titles as well as currently beating him fairly constantly in individual races. It seems unlikely that Rossi at the age of rising 40 will ever develop sufficient maturity to give up his attempts at off-track manipulation and his involvement of that element among his fans in campaigns of vilification against his rivals. Unfortunately for him MM has sufficient maturity and strength of character to just shrug it all off, and indeed it appears to have no effect other than to provide further motivation for him. He would likely have thrown his bike down the road rather than settling for a podium as he did in the most recent race at Misano earlier in his premier class career.

Ive raced??? I still don't understand it. Racing incidents and mistakes will happen but a professional gets on with the job at hand, not lose the plot and all self control.
Probably why his current and future team dropped him like a bad habbit.
