Qatar predictions?

I'm going to sit on the fence for now whilst I recover from all that excitement. Knock yourselves out!

Ducati struggled mightily last year at Qatar so I don't think Loris will repeat. I predict Rossi will come back with a vengence and win it by a mile.

I'm not sure, I hate to compare Rossi and Edwards but they are both riding the same bike set up similarly with terrible chatter issues and Edwards could do no better than 11th. I have a feeling Rossi would have been on pace with Hayden and Elias but no better.

It's still better than 14th
<
(I'm only really supporting Rossi because of my team) I hope he can make a comeback at Qatar. I'm sitting tight before I make any predictions though

<
Who think it'll be a wet race?

You think Rossi's gonna let Cappers get away with that Jerez stunt? "Me 14th??? He win??? HOW DARE THEY!!!"
<

Gotta say, rossi is gona be out to prove a point after jerez... will be interesting to see how gibernau performs.

im gonna predict a win for rossi
<

Hope little dani can perform well too

Hi VR welcome!

Now that I've recovered from lowsiding myself off my seat in excitement at turn 1 yesterday and after studying the form a bit I think it's going to be another win for the factory Ducati team at Losail. Whether Loris or Sete I'm not sure. I hope it's Loris. He set pole last year and started well but lost four places in the first lap and eventually finished 10th. Now that we know bridgestone have a worthy race tyre and that bridgestone have always worked well in hot conditions things are looking good for the boys in red. Loris was even able to respond to Dani in the last few laps of Sundays race and up his pace enough to secure the win. Confidence will be sky high going into the qatar weekend for Loris and we know what he's capable of if his head's right. Sete went well too against Rossi last year although Rossi won in the end. If Yamaha can pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat then the camel boys could be up there but it has to be a tall order. I'm going to say Loris on Pole from Sete and Nakano again, the kwak will work well there in qualifying. In the race, Loris from Sete with Marco third and Rossi just snatching fourth from Pedrosa to complete the top five. It'll be interesting to see what happens if the Ducatis get away. Qatar is a dusty place making any move off line to gain a place a gamble so a few tumbles wouldn't surprise me.
Hell what do I care anyway my fantasy team's screwed ! ! !

I might adpopt yrer fantasy team philosophy, soon
<

The Ducs do look in form, but we didn't get to see much of Rossi's form at Jerez. We'll have to wait and see what the doctor can do before counting him out

i'm gonna wait till they practice before i even consider guessing. but i don't think the ducs are gonna be up there. rossi will tho.

the curse live's!!!! sete is snake bit!

Poor old Sete, he can't get a break, can he. He's been trampled on by Rossi for damn near 2 years now. You can't really call it rivalry. What Kevin and Wayne had in the early 90s and late 80s was rivalry. Even Biaggi and Rossi had rivalry, but Sete and Rossi.... It was like They were freinds until Qatar in '04 then after that, Rossi just hasn't cut him a break. Not really rivalry, more like bullying. If Sete had more mental strength it could have made for great rivalry, because he's definately got the skill as a rider.

theres always been rivalry, and there always will be .... the motogp class is full of it:
elias vs pedrosa
vale vs sete
melandri vs pedrosa
sete vs the world ..... haha

kevin and wayne, huh? .... read up on that one?? lol
<
those two were an awesome pair
ive got a shirt signed by Kevin Schwantz
<
i forgot bout that....

I saw that article, Katt, but I knew about those two boefore that.

I'm just saying rivalry is not really rivalry unless both sides throw their fair share of puches. Don't confuse it with competition, the grid's full of that.
I mean Rivals that constantly speak out against each other, have public arguments and epic battles on the track because they both strive to be on top. With Sete vs. Rossi, the on track action is (or was) there, but Sete's a pretty polite sorta bloke, and he tends not to dwell on, talk about or complain about his run in's with Rossi. Sure he gets pissed off, but wouldn't you? There's a difference between spitting the dummy, pointing the finger, making excuses (this is what I call "Biaggi behaviour") and getting mad, putting up, shutting up, taking it on the chin and moving on ("Sete behaviour")

Like I said before the start of the season, If Duke & BS get their bike/tyre relationship sorted they will be Rossi's main threat,.

Sunday proves that,. the way Cappers turned the heat up in those couple of laps was amazing,. we were at 2nd & 3rd last turns and you could tell by the note of the Duke that Cappers was upping the pace yet again,. superb,.. also a thing to note was that it was bloody hot and the tyres still held up until the end

For Qutar,.
1. Cappers
2. Rossi
3. Melandri/Hayden/Elias/Padrosa/Stoner

Sete to be playing in the sand again

After coming off and bending his pegs etc Rossi rode like he was on rails,. what a smooth fast B__stard he is,...

Glad you had a good time. What about the wee lad? I bet he was amazed by the whole thing. Makes Easter Monday at Kirkistown looka bit sad.

I think Rossi will be lucky to get on the podium in qatar. I read that Yamaha were testing the 2005 M1 on Monday so that speaks volumes. All the 'kids'will be trying extra hard going on the Jerez form. If the Ducatis/Loris hits the front I really do think it could be free for all for the podium with Rossi somewhere stuck in the middle of it all.

cheers dude,. well things didn't start too well,. we had a big screen in front of us and saw St Rossi fall at first corner,. the wee lad wouldn't watch anything after that for a few laps,. then we all started jumping up and down roaring everything Rossi came past looking for points and that brought him round a bit,...

overall he was amazed,.

yeah,. slight difference to Easter Mon. at Kirks

I'm flaking like burnt soda's at the minute, got roasted on the Sat Practice, had to buy scarfs etc to cover our Paddy necks, sitting pouring water into our caps all day,. then scrapping frost off the car this morning
<

now learning spannish and french looking for cheap tent and south of Biscay
<

Loris of Aribia
<
could be spot on there, Loris should be strong again, then leaving the crumbs behind,. but I do suspect St Rossi to attack hard any time now
<

Okay this is my top 3 a week n a half before the race.. ill stick with this too!

1. Rossi
2. Hayden
3. Pedrosa

Rock on!! oh yeh, rossi to kick out at Elias on first corner!! haha
