Qatar predictions?

i think if someone comes along and actually beats rossi fair and square then that would be great for the sport. you just know that if he retires or goes to another sport the next person to win the championship would always have that stigma over it that they only won cos rossi wasnt in it any more and that would really take away from that riders achievement.

i think marco, loris or dani could have a real crack at it this season and actually win on merit. but i am a rossi fan and i do love watching the guy ride. i just think that if someone beats him this season he would definately stay in the GP longer cos theres no way i think he'd go out not being the world champion.

predictions for Qatar
<

1. Capirossi
2. Rossi
3. Melandri

Hard to tell.
I'll give it a try, but I'll be more sure after first practice:( this predictions are not objective)
1. Capirossi
2. Rossi ( Can't rulle him out)
3. Dani
4. Sete or Nicky
5. Elias

I know I'm not realistic but after Jerez impossible is nothing!!

My Prediction:

Rossi will kick ..., period. He's so miffed from what happened at Jerez that he's gonna be super fast.

Should be a good race!
<

ur missing a point ben, rossi can only be very fast as long as the bike is set up right and thats the problem at the moment, if the bike was right in jerez hed a bin pushing for the win..im not sure they gunna solve it on every track this year but time and effort will tell.

Sorry to change the subject but I think the boys from motogp.com have been reading our stuff. The most recent article on their site is about Capirossi and Ducati's chances in Qatar, the name of the article? "Loris of Arabia." Check it out here.

Will be a great race cause we have not seen rossi from this possie from the start. I think rossi would have still given jerez a real shake on that .... bike. For the championship in a whole he is way to consistant on every track compared to most riders so i think it wont be long till the docs name is at the top of the championship.

As for Qatar, im going with ben on this one if the bike is reasonable he is going to be screaming

That's a good thing, means that lots of people are visiting the forum.

Bad thing is it means there's a lot of lurkers out there who wish to remain aloof and not contribute.

rossi can ride round most problem's & still win. so unless the bike is total ...., or he get's punted from the track, i would never count him out of a win.

take it as a compliment that they use our idea's.

just shows how good our forum is and how good the people are who contribute to it

hahahah ur missing the point frosty, if ur gunna b xtra fast the bike has to b in the very best of set ups, look at turkey last year and jerez 2004 just to name a few, im not saying god cant win but ben said hes gunna b very fast..
<

So let me get this straight, motogp.com can steal our quotes, but we post their pics and they threaten to attack poor old ben with a lawsuit?
<

on the subject of Rossi, I agree with Frosty, he can ride his way around problems. And if I recall topcat saw him at Jerez and said he was riding well, even after being shaken up by a crash, losing half his brake lever, ect... have faith in yer man, winner

Rossi isn't god. He may be able to ride around problems and TC may have said he 'looked' quick but the fact is, the best he could do was post the 11th fastest lap of the race with Edwards posting the 13th. Camel Yamaha have a problem and it's a fairly big one. In past years if Rossi was at the back, you could have bet your house on seeing a couple of lap records getting blown out of the water but not this time. Loris' fastest lap was on lap 2, with no Sete and no Vale he may have settled his pace having only to respond tyo Dani in the last few laps. What I'm saying is I think Loris had a better lap in him during the race but didn't need to push that little bit harder as his main competition fell off or broke down. Rossi was balls out for points and the best he could manage was almost a full second slower than Loris on lap 5. Sorry Mr Rossi but even you can't 'ride around' everything.

good gawd man what r u saying,..!!!,. how can I let my wee man read this thread now ye ballacks "Rossi isn't god",. u know he'll prob. even withdraw his fantasy team in protests at you blaspheming...

what I said about Rossi in Jerez was how smooth and how much he looked like he was on rails, I timed the section of track which I could see, [ appox 6 corners ] and Rossi at the end was the same if not a fraction up on the leaders, but either way there was not much in it,. my point was more to do with the front 10 or so looked like they were on the ragged edge [ especially Stoner who really rode the wheels of that thing to stay in front of Nakano who def had the better bike ], but Rossi really looked incredibily smooth and unruffled,.

now I'm not that biased that if Rossi was outta shape I wouldn't say [ would actually have liked to see him slide a bit ]

Skidders I think you could have also pin pointed a couple of vital facts as to the times and their reasons,. yeah Cappers didn't have to go balls out [ if us mortals dare say that ] all the race, but he did respond to Danny with a few laps to go. We didn't even need to look at the times we could here him really belt that Duke so much harder,. t'was F_______KKIIIINNNGGGGG magic,. I think I'll go gay and marry the little .... :-0

Have to say also again Stoner really impressed with what was a bad bad setup of a machine, he was loosing the front and had no pickup outta the bends conmpared to Nakano,. if the setup was his fault he'll never make champ,. if that was the best the bike could be and he rode around the prob's the way he did, then u r looking at another Doohan

At last we get the reason for this years race at Jerez being slower than 2005. Nicolas Goubert, head honcho at Michelin siad in an interview that Jerez just wasn't as grippy as it was last year. Kinda backs up Loris' comments after Friday free practice. Looks like in Losail a clean track has a whole different context with the amount of sand blowing around. Will it be good weather for 'Camels' ?

look we all know rossi can ride, and he can get podiums when the bike not set up to his likes, probalbly the only person who can at present but to win races as the bike is at this moment is a differant issue//

With Rossi you never know what to expect. You think he's not in shape or his bike is not good enough and he can win the race in style. So we should really wait and see. Just remember the year he arrived to Yamaha.
That what's intersting in this sport: is impredictable! I expect a entertaing race with many rider fighting for podium and victory: Rossi, Loris, Sete, Melandri, Nicky Hayden, Dani and Toni Elias.

Here goes
1.Loris (can`t ignore that looong straight -Ducati food)
2.Vale (hungry or what?)
3.Sete or Dani ,but there have been new faces up there and I would expect more of the same.

unless anyone has heard different ?Rossi's team still have not sorted out this chatter issue, and this vibration,so with Pedrosa doing so well in his first gp,he has got to have shout,so here we go.
<

1.pedrosa
2.hayden
3.sete
4.edwards
5.rossi ?dont know where to put him ?
