I think MM93 is the favorite, Little Brother also looked very fast and could be a strong contender
I am very certain little brother won’t be able to challenge MM, if he is fast MM is faster. AM did win titles in the other classes and has never really been on a good bike until now, certainly the Hondas he rode were horrible and I don’t think the GP23 was Ducati’s best ever effort either, particularly the start of the 2023 season version with which the satellite riders were reputedly provided last year.I think MM93 is the favorite, Little Brother also looked very fast and could be a strong contender
Fair point. But if he has not learnt from the years of misery following the broken arm sustained in a pointless (literally) exercise to prove something to Fabio that will be on him. He has ridden circumspectly to win titles previously, and particularly if in obliterate Rossi’s records mode can probably do so again.Provided MM stays on it. There are still tracks Pecco will be very, very good on. MM needs to accept that he can't always beat him. I am not 100% he can do that.
I didnt say I think Alex would beat Marc, only that he is the next best contender based on testing.I am very certain little brother won’t be able to challenge MM, if he is fast MM is faster. So if AM although not untalented is fast on what is his first decent bike in the premier class, imo the rest of the field including Pecco should be absolutely terrified about what MM will do on that bike when he is actually racing for real. AM was not all that close to MM when both were riding GP23s.
Multiple Testing World Champion,Viñales enters the conversationI didnt say I think Alex would beat Marc, only that he is the next best contender based on testing.
Sure, wasn’t meaning to have a go at you, just pointing out which everyone knows anyway that if Alex is competitive with the field now he is on a good bike in the GP24 that this should be very scary for the rest of the field,, given MM is also on a GP24 and was somewhat competitive on a GP23 last season. If pre-season testing has demonstrated anything imo it is that the GP23 or last season’s satellite version anyway wasn’t a great bike. I take a line through Bezzecchi as well who has been fast on an Aprilia after being nowhere all last season on a GP23.I didnt say I think Alex would beat Marc, only that he is the next best contender based on testing.
I hope so, would make the season a lot more interesting.Marquez undoubtedly the favourite at this stage. But lets not pretend Pecco won't be strong. Despite not winning the title, he was dominant last season, he just didn't stay on enough. It could go right down to the wire.
Honestly, that's a pretty accurate assessment. If Marc is as comfortable on the bike in the first race as these tests have suggested, it's game over. His only problem last year was a period of transition from Honda that took too long to extend the fight for the title into the final races and led to so many unnecessary crashes and mistakes.I think if Marc wins the season opener in Thailand, he's got a strong chance of demolishing the field.

As for Acosta - personally I don't believe in him and his hype. He's good but is he the next one like everyone painted him when he ran through Moto3? is he Rossi or Marquez of his age? Nah I don't think so. I also don't think he's capable of overcoming a speed deficit and holding off the satellite Ducatis. He's just one of those forever talented dudes that you're going to wonder why he's never panned out when it's all said and done.
I bet that Alex is going to be somewhere in there with the big bro and Pecco in the first half of the season and then Martin slowly but surely will figure out what the Aprilia is about, start pile up podiums and eventually complete the top-3.
Had baby goat been on a GP24 its not if he would have won a race but how many. That is a bit harsh I reckon. Out performed Binder in his first year on the bike and did threaten a race win or two. That KTM was not a GP24, or even GP23 Duke.
Yeah probably not the next MM but he still has talent imo.
My nun would have won a race on gp24 last year. And yeah, she's better than Morbidelli.Had baby goat been on a GP24 its not if he would have won a race but how many.
