Having said that, Haga is a worth rider and if he wins the title I won't be mad.

just caught a bit on german Eurosport there was a crash and it looked like hopper was run over by another rider and was motionless on the track.any news ? ppl

Terrific battle in Race 1. Looked like a forgone conclusion that Spies had used up his tyres, and Haga was going to re-take the lead and the race. Ben then turns in his fastest lap of the race on the final lap.

Sorry to all the Haga fans, as I've said Nori is a WSBk institution, a true racer, and deserved to have taken the title in 2000 instead of Colin. Also, despite what he say's, Nitro can't be fully fit right now - so tremendous ride on his part. However my opinion of him changed drastically last year at Donington when he behaved appallingly.

Spies now two points off Noris lead. I hope Ben wins this Championship, because put simply, I think he's a better rider, and is the future of GP racing.

Christ! - There goes the customary annual crucial Haga error. Ran wide - left the door wide open and invited Rea in for tea - no blame to apportion to Johnny, it lies squarely on Haga who is now on the threshold of defeat again. I really wanted this to go to the wire, but then you never ever know in motorcycle racing, and that's why we love it!!!

Great win to Rea - because Spies was not just riding for the Championship - he was coming - and a new lap record to Rea on the last lap. Great to see Sykesy hand it to Fabi, and Davide Tardozzi silenced or the second time in one race.

Time for Ducati to scream unfair advantage and petition the Flammini's for yet another rule change. Perhaps next year we'll see 1398 twins.

1st and a 2nd for Spies at as circuit as formidable as the Ring, and he's never ridden here before. Very harsh move on Haslam though

Well that put a domper on my weekend..... great ride by Rea nonetheless though.

What was so bad about that incident that made you change your opinion about him so drastically?

Spies is mind blowing. How does he show up week after week at tracks he's never seen and take it to the established WSBK riders? I really thought that Haga was going to be untouchable this weekend and yet it looks like Spies was holding a little something extra in reserve.

I really hope he can take two titles before he heads to GP; mainly because he was discovered so late, I'm not sure he has enough time or the physique to make the grade in GP.

18 point lead for Spies, lets see how Nori reacts to being down.Spies reacted by winning numerous races in a row when he was down. What will Nori do?

First it was Spies with nothing to lose, now it's Haga. Time will tell.

Even as a big fan i doubt Nori can get himself out of this one though, even with his favorite circuit coming up.

Firstly, I'm intrigued, are you fully aware of what I am referring to?

Secondly, it was largely my opinion of his character. Although I've never seen him as an intelligent rider, more a balls out racer - and a very entertaining one, I also lost respect for him as a rider.

Was sorry to see him go down today, but with six races remaining, this ain't necessarily done.

Ben Spies is incredible. i think we can already start calling him "the great" Ben Spies. can't wait to see him in MotoGP.

You're the first tool in the history of motorcycle forums to not blame the guy who made the inside move, couldn't hold his line and then took out another rider...........
<

The guy on the outside who was holding his line is to blame......?? Get real. I suppose when Fabi did it to Spies last month it was Ben's fault right? Did I get that right?? So it was Ben's fault that Fabi made an inside move, couldn't hold his line and took Ben out. HHmm, I'm pretty sure I've read some posts on here indicating otherwise........

Haga hopefully only needs motive this year. He's got it. I'm just going to pray every night until the next round that spies DNF 7000 times before the end of the season. the lead is crazy, and only way haga can win is if spies messes up. If Haga and Spies exchange first and second, I doubt Haga will make it.

Ive stayed away for 24 hours from this forum so no one spoils it for me. I just watched the race, and I hope Rea trips on Rob Halford by mistake and never sees the end of it. I've been sitting down on my coach for 16 hours excited like a little ...... Haga went down, i turned off my ps3 and loged on wsbk to do the math. What a shame. REA IS A .....

It looked to me like Haga out broke himself and ran wide, Rea dived inside, then Haga tried to regain a tight line and made contact with Rea. So are u saying Rae ran wide and hit Haga?

Does anybody hav a vide of the sequence?

Spies was brilliant in race one & smart in race two (though based on Rae's last lap i dont think he was gonna get caught).

This day would hav been a total disaster for me had Spies not won race one. I was still pissed from DeAngelis bone head move.

Heres another observation, isnt it amazing that even thought Haga crashed out there was still a battle for the win? Why arent there more WSBK fans on this forum?

Last note, i wanted to see Haga and Spies battle to the end. Question, was Haga drained from injury or demoralized in post race interview race 1?

Oh, this thing is not over by any stretch of the imagination. Haga has always had a late season charge.

HHmmm, yeah, it was just like Ben and Fabi. Fabi made a perfect move, Ben closed down and crashed them both...............that fuggin ....... Ben Spies. Him and Haga are dipshits, I wish those two knew WTF they were doing................

Dude, whatever happened with Rea and Haga. Rea still gets rear ended for cash,,,, whore. I really do hope he pulls back. I'm having a hard time with things around me right now, and wsbk was the only happiness I had in life at the moment. I hope that doesn't change. Thank god we don't have to wait for another 6 years for the next round.

Hahaha. Ok dude but answer my first question. Did Rea run wide or did Haga close the line? I guess ur saying Rae ran wide and clipped Haga? Ok, i will watch it again. However, how is this the same as Spies and Fabi? Fabi had lost the bike, that is he had crashed before he had made contact with Spies. Spies was in the path of a bike that was on its side. In the case of Haga and Rea it looks like one of the two closed the line and the 'contact' is what caused the crash. If they dont touch nobody goes down. In Spies case ther was no avoiding a bike that was already sliding.

Im not sure whose fault it was in Haga Rae incident, so i will look again. But it looks like Haga ran wide then came back in where Rae was, boom, contact.

I will say this though, Rae should have been much more aware that he is not in the title hunt and waited for a place to make a cleaner pass. We dont need 3rd party guys deciding the title.
