Nürburgring thread

Spies is not going to risk throwing it down the road for a meaningless time when Saturday looks dry.If it is wet,Spies is plenty fast enough in the rain,he has won a wet race this year. It was because of goofy strategy on Byrnes part but a win is a win.

yup! he does. he's right behind haga on the track. hope haga doesn't mess up with the peddle:)

Spies will take a win or both at the 'Ring. I don't let qualifying numbers fool me. It's like Spies' destiny to take the title this season.

Doesn't look good for Spies and it makes Fabrizio's mistake look even worse.

BTW, what the hell is wrong with Hopkins and Kiyo? Why are those two parked at the bottom while Rea and Haslam are running near the front?

Unfortunately, Spies will probably win but I'm completely psyched to see Haga back and in good form.

No but he does have a history of choking! It wouldn't be the end of the world for me if Haga won the series. he has been around a while and never really done anything. If he was to win it, that would be a nice way for him to retire. unfortuanetly Ben does not feel the same way I do so Look out Haga!!
Levi your boy better bring it

I wouldn't say a history of choking, most of the times Haga really starts winning at the end of the season. Like he figures out at the end of the season he's been riding for points all season.

Right.... whatever turns you on at night.

Haga has shown great timings this weekend. He is back in red:) I just hope we had an updated medical report after superpole today.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (heyhuub @ Sep 5 2009, 04:37 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Haga is serious, this is his 7th pole of his entire SBK career.

Haga is getting old and winning for Japanese people isn't just winning another title, its something they believe in, its a way of life. Its hard to find a Jap who's a failure. I know he's never won the title. But this year is believes, alittle more.

Those people are all part of one group. We have alot of them here. Its "The Letdown" group.

Bro, what season have you been watching? If anything is "destiny" its a title for Haga. Just about at every turn Spies has had the worst outcome possible and the opposite it true for Haga. Haga gets hurt, then gets 6 weeks to recover, while Fabrizo torpedoes Spies to erase any possible advancement in points. Spies has about twice the wins but at every turn he's got a dnf or a mechanical when on the cusp of taking the points lead. If anything is destined, it Haga. This break has not been kind to Spies so far. 5th isn't bad, but what is for his title hopes is that Haga is 1st.

Time is running out. If Haga wins the title he can thank Yamaha mechanics and Fabrizio.

Having said that, Haga is a worth rider and if he wins the title I won't be mad.

I doubt Spies will run away with anything, Haga looks very determined. He know this is his best and probably final opportunity to claim a championship.

Has anyone seen the unthinkable amount of time between Cal Crutchlow and the rest of the field?

Haga had a pretty average run for awhile there, started off blazing but cooled down. Even with Spies' bad luck, he's still only 14 pts. away from the championship lead. Spies is just as determined to prove himself. It's no sure thing for Haga either. Just comes down to who can show the most consistency down the stretch. I'm throwing my weight behind Spies, I don't care if I am eventually wrong. But Spies has been a phenom, and him being a rookie doesn't hurt his title chances. He's shown he has a stone cold demeanor on the track, not letting the pressure faze him.
