an open season so far SNS Back ;) helping some, not others

THIS Race is when the new Stiff-ER Tyre/Tire comes into play. ??

Fast track suits lightweights Dani for the win.

Regards my lovelies

That front tyre could bring Dani's season to a screeching halt, hope not though.
Other riders possibly affected are Jorge and Maverick.
If the latter is affected Valentino will be turning cartwheels and uncle Carmelo will be very calm...

Rossi not at the press conference cos he doesn't feel well enough :( Hopefully he's well enough to race at the weekend.

Got to favour tiny Dani for a win - he's on fire this year. I think this'll be an interesting, mixup race. Obvs in an ideal world, JLo would find the magic and cruise smoothly to the win from the front, but that seems unlikely...

I honestly don't think Rossi is on form - who knows if he's feeling his age or not. Perhaps it's the haircut... it makes him look a bit poorly...

Folger and Zarco seem to be very much on it. They are both on last year's M1, right?

It feels like much longer than 2 weeks since the last race. 'Mon the weekend!

Marquez will win
then either Pedrosa or Zarco 2/3.

I think Rossi's season is run, he does not look at all well regardless of the fact that he has been declared fit to race.

Vinales 4th

Exactly. I don't know where the idea came from that Dani wants a firmer tire. I don't think he does. He is too small in weight and height to load the front and get heat in the tire. And he usually starts braking earlier than Marquez or Rossi. He really suffered until Honda got more force on the front for him this year.

Here is hoping VR is okay. Since he has one of the fastest bikes, I do want him to stay competitive for the year. Otherwise, it could turn into the win-or-bin show with Marquez trying to catch Viñales.

Interesting group for the opening interview. GO Zarco!

What was with Iannone leaving the press conference early skipping the fan questions - he really didn't seem to want to be there.

As much as I'd love Rossi to win after what happened last year, I know I stand a snowflakes chance in hell

Iannone never seems comfortable with his English. So maybe that is it. Or maybe he knows some people in Italy and just needed to get back to the party. ;-)

I thought Rossi looked pretty good from the picture of him packing Uccio around. Of course that isn't 20+ laps on a liter race bike, but he could win the pit bike wheelie contest, if Uccio gets his fat ... off of it.

True - perhaps carting him around is part of his physical training to prepare him for the race

Struggling to breathe... precisely. When your ribs are battered - it ......' hurts like hell to take a deep breath.

Time will Tell - Lorenzo at Mugello

Just read that Lorenzo at Mugello's results since 2009 read

2009 1st
2010 1st
2011 2nd
2012 1st
2013 1st
2014 1st
2015 2nd
2016 1st ( originally posted 2nd until corrected)

What chance of this continuing ?

Should also add, nice touch by VDS with the black numbers in memory of Nicky

Pretty sure Lorenzo won in 16 as well

Someone should get Julian Ryder read those results out to Heuwen live on air. Maybe he'd stop for a moment or two from babbling on about "the doctor's playground".

I'm liking the tributes from all the riders to Hayden

MotoGP.com could use those results as well. They even post his last win was in 2008 but are acting as if he has been dominant there once the playing field was levelled and great talent came through.
