What's up with these tyres and front ends
Pedrosa front end just washed away while upright...are these Bridgestone tyres ..... ?
We might discuss front tires but todays crash by Pedrosa should not be included.
What he did was a 100% brain fart. Probably due to his crash yesterday he froze up completely. Even a rookie could have saved that one.
Did Elias secured his ride for the next year? because he is no where again.
Sure, but things are getting ridiculous particularly in view of this formula being introduced reputedly mainly for safety reasons. They are so expensive there are few bikes in the first place, and even the best among those actually on the grid cannot stay on them.
Unnaturally high corner speeds and sudden rather than gradual occurrence of the limit look to be a problem in general, if not for this particular crash of dani's. I guess he is under pressure due to the stoner talk and now randy's pace, and I feel quite a deal of sympathy for him.
Forum Nanny reminder: There IS a Moto2 thread. Please post there 'cause some people don't get to see the MotoGP and Moto2 races at the same time...

Edwards angry at poor engine performance
Colin Edwards has expressed his frustration at a chronic lack of engine performance from his satellite Yamaha.
Colin Edwards (Tech 3)
The Monster Tech 3 rider will start Sunday’s British Grand Prix from just tenth on the grid, with he and team-mate Ben Spies ahead of only Ducati’s Mika Kallio through the Silverstone top speed trap.
“When you’re following guys you know you can beat and they’re pulling ahead by five or six bike lengths on the straight it’s hard,” Edwards told motogp.com. “The engine is the main thing and we’re lacking real power. Ben and I are second last on the speed chart. But it starts from way back and it’s not just speed, it’s acceleration and everything.”
Edwards set a best top speed of 313.3km/h, compared with 323.9km/h for Dani Pedrosa and 317.6km/h for the fastest M1 of British Grand Prix pole sitter Jorge Lorenzo.
“I would like to be confident. I’m confident in my ability and what I can do, I just need something to do it with,” he said of the race.
Spies, who qualified in seventh place, echoed Edwards’ concerns.
“I think we’re probably the two slowest bikes out there so it’s going to be tough to race people and make passes but as a rider you can only do what you can,” he said. “If we don’t get off to a good start it’s going to be hard trying to overtake people.”

Race about to begin. It looks like most have opted for the hard tire. Someone was saying J-Lo has a soft rear tire.
