Moto 2

about bleeding time scott

and is marquez/ bradl going to get a sub 2 min in at the end go go go

Not quite, but close enough. This pole time is 1/2 second faster than the 250's set in 09, and unlike the test earlier, these times were done on race tires. Qatar is a flowing high speed track, it will be interesting to see if the Moto 2 bikes have truly surpassed the 250's, or if its just on the high speed tracks. Either way, the racing is better because your getting the bonzai slides that you never got with the 250's.Going to the 600;s was a good move.

Moto2 should be amazing this year. At least 10 riders have the ability to win races and challenge for the championship. It will be interesting to see who can remain in contention without making major mistakes. Bradl looks ridiculously good right now. If he starts on pole and breaks the draft, he should go flag to flag, imo.

i'm with you on this phil come on the lads

on another note . i know its early days but its looking like marquez is the real deal at the moment and if he carries on when repsol go back to 2 riders next year which 2 will be getting to boot to make way as they are going to want to keep this youyng man

Didn,t see this one mate.

Oh yeah Marques is the real deal for sure, provided he can do a full shift on the bike before tiring & becoming too weak.

He,s only got a small frame. But! so,s pedro. I reckon he,s probably in moto2 for two seasons & then its who,s done their time?

would honda risk losing him to another team if someone came in for him

Bradl road a brilliant race. According to Spalding the Kalex is actually the class of the field, but they didn't have the riders last year to make it work.

Redding? What a terrible way to start the year. He's got the riding skill, but he needs to develop his mind.

Marquez came back down to earth. Tough day, I was hoping for a bit of a cinderella story. Hopefully he can get a decent start at Jerez.

Bradl was impressive, let's hope he can string a whole season together. Lot's of high profile riders in that class that had a really disappointing first race.

I still miss the 250's.

Gread ride by Bradl, all weekend really. He's had GP wins before but this weekend was a real display of Quality, if he can keep that up i'd expect him in motogp sooner or later. Ianonne rescued an average off season and continues to be a threat to anyone who wants to win a race. DeAngelis was spectacular as ever, if he can find the consistency he's lost in the last few years then he could be a real player. I always find myself willing him on, i want him to do well.

Such a shame for Redding to have such a disaster, but Brad had an excellent ride. He was miles ahead of his team mate and best rookie. Hopefully that promise will be followed with more progress.

Well said. Shame about Scott, although I'm sure this race will fire him up for Jerez. Bradders was impressive, hopefully he can get some podiums this year. I'm expecting this Moto2 season to be very interesting, with many guys from MotoGP and graduates from 125cc, I'm thinking we are going to see some great racing.

Nice ride by Wilairot today. After the DNF at Qatar I was worried but the lad seems to have fully recovered from his off season noggin bounce. 31rst to 12th was a quality ride. He was the fastest rider on the track near the end!

Iannone threw himself right into the title race today, great job. If he can do that a few more times and keep it together when he isn't winning he will be tough to beat. Luthi was solid as ever but that win needs to come soon, i am starting to feel a bit sorry for the guy, probably the best not to have won a race yet. Corsi had an amazing ride to come from so far back and salvage something on an FTR chassis that clearly isn't working that well this year, hopefully they can get it sorted in the month off they have now.

For me, the most impressive thing this year so far has been Bradley Smith. He has taken to the class brilliantly and approached the races in a consistent and measured manner. Hopefully his progress can continue. Bradl did a decent job and didn't make any major errors on a tough day, DeAngelis had a brilliant ride through after jumping the start with what looked to be a clutch issue or just a silly mistake. Feel pretty sorry for Marquez, i think he was on for a strong result and he never stood a chance after Cluzels mistake. Also a good solid ride from Kev Coughlan, i know he's got experience in Spain but i am hoping he can make some progress at the less familiar tracks and FTR can get things sorted too.

Disappointment of the year has to be Scott Redding, he really had fallen off the edge of the world overnight. If they need to change Chassis to get things back together then i hope they do so ASAP.

What's wrong with sofuoglo? He cant finish in top 10, and he goes backward in the race. I expected him to be a regular front runner.

same here...the biggest disappointment tho personally is Scott Redding, his form at the end of last season really looked promising

So I think I've figured out why Simon and Redding are suddenly slow--the Suter is built for Marquez.

Not trying to sully Marquez, but Repsol aren't exactly known for their chivalry, and if I were Repsol's racing manager, I wouldn't be taking any chances. Throw a bit of money at Suter, and pay for the changes Marquez wants.

bradl does it again!

he may very well be on his way to win this years title

iannone and marquez need to realize that theyre ruining their title efforts
