I think its easy to forget its only Wests sixth race, give him a full season (like Stoner, Vermeulen have had) and he'll be heading up towards the front.. Stoner was amazing so to was Chris, can it get any better if your an Aussie? I think not
<

Can't get much better - Westy a little higher would of been nice, but no it doesn't get much better!
PS CV is really starting to show his true colours!!

well it turned into a procession

stoner is unstopable, the suzuki's comin good, the yamaha is junk, michelin got screwed as did hayden & pedrosa, melandri is ironman... bring on estoril!

Bit of a bore that one, not much going on at all once the race settled. Gutted for Pedrosa and Hayden, particularly Nicky. I had a gut feeling he would place on the podium, damn shame. Yamaha have officially surrendered the 2007 title as development work for the 2008 YZR M1 suffers a minor setback in terms of an engine failure. When was the last time Rossi surrendered anything? Makes you think doesn't it? Stoner was again unstoppable, seemed to show a bit more emotion than usual as he crossed the line and the 85 point championship lead crossed his mind, good on him, another predictably perfect race. Suzuki are on a roll. I wish Vermeulen had caught Stoner and Hopper wished he hadn't chose that harder rear tyre. Elias showed some guts in the tussle with Westy, he's a tough wee guy that Elias, their battle was the best value of the race for me.

The only thing worse than my two favorite riders going out of contention in turn one is the fact that it happened at the hands of my third favorite rider. Annoying mistake, but these things happen. Poor Rossi for not even getting to ride most of his home grand prix, but i'm not convinced he could have beaten the suzukis, certainly not CV. I'm now both hugely impressed with CV for finding some serious front running form, and more disappointed with Hopper for being mediocre in comparison.

You bloody beauty! Aussies 1.,2. Shame about Rossi, i really thought he could win at home. Good to see the suzuki's up there. Top ride by #33 after that big stack, that bloke is made of steel!!

I don't think anyone would have touched Stoner or Vermuelen. Great rides by both of them. I really wish de Puniet would stop taking people out - if your gonna crash please do it by yourself. Still, I find it hard to feel sorry for Pedrosa. On the other hand bad luck for Nicky but at least he kept at it and scored a few points.
Did anyone hear the kawasaki team manager? Did not seem very pleased at all. He only called West's ride "acceptable" and didn't say anything about de Puniet! Wouldn't like to be in that garage at the moment!

Aussie's are getting their share of these days this year, great rides by Stoner and Vermin.

It really isn't hard to forget West has only been in for six rounds Antfan, we get a WOOTWOOT from his fans every time he puts a wheel right. This was the race he had an advantage in track knowledge and was gifted three spots on the first corner and another when Rossi went out,he couldn't produce under those conditions?
<
This was way to much like Laguna Seca for me mainly cheering for Hayden. I wish he didn't double clutch the start, he should have been in front of the crash. Oh well, wait two weeks and hope he clears the first turn.

Johnny, whether or not you like De Puniet, show him some respect, that goes for everyone, for all the riders.
Barry, if Stoner wins today, it'll be a 85 point gap, with 125 points left on the table I think, so no, he'll be able to win it one after Portugal.

Needed saying again

This is very likely the reason his butt isn`t on a Kwak next year,Randy has to learn there are more laps than just the first.

Errr, this wasn't just a tyre issue here tonight... let's see, what happened to the four leading Michelin men...

Rossi - yamaha engine died
Edwards - did his oft of late trick by rapidly moving backwards
Pedrosa - taken out by Mr RDP
Hayden - out of contention due to avoiding above incident

Not saying that any of them would have made much difference to the ultimate result but it's getting very "tyring" hearing about it in a negative way every time Bridgestone fills the top positions this year.

It wasn't even newsworthy last year whenever Michelin did the exact same thing...

yeah... your just quicker on the draw brother!

Woke up. Saw the results. Looked at the lap chart and saw mainly straight lines. Saw the Pedrosa/DePuniet incident that took Hayden out of contention.

Back to bed. What a charade.

Frenchman should not be allowed on the grid. Every single one of them has been responsible for t-boning the living .... out of someone this season. What a joke. It's about time they levee a humiliating fine on DePuniet. Hitting Vermuelen was his free racing incident pass. This one should be the wallet stinger.

So how close to the limit is Ducati running their fuel???
<

BOTH Stoner & Capirex running out on the slow down lap...

1 little miscaculation & someone will be in the .... on this!

Hi Guys, back now,

Well Stoner marches on, the suzukis put up a good fight initially and there was no shame in their achievement either. Yamaha, clutching at straws I think, especially when they could have tested that bike tomorrow, no points but then again, no guts no glory I suppose they had to try it I guess.

Looks like Stoner will win this WC comfortably.

Felt for Hayden and Pedrosa. Ah well never mind.

The bike knows how much fuel is left. The only way a person will take the fall is if they forget to set the ECU or they set it below what the fuel pump can actually pick up.

BTW I hope Stoner wins out. He and Ducati deserve to have a record setting season. They are the only ones who show up with a world class machine and a world class rider in top form. Congrats Ducati. Your rise to prominence has been amazing.
