I rate Dovi over Cal, and if Jesus was on a trumpy it would have to be a Bonneville

Jesus currently rides a top secret Triumph prototype code named "Adriana"

Anyone hear the BBC commentator reporting during before the start of QP1 a rumour that Spies is being relegated to WSBK for Ducati in 2014, and his Pramac seat may be going to E. Laverty....?

Yes, the contract held by Ducati states that Ben will ride where they say so, if he refuses, the contract is void, this is a smart move by Ducati.

Maybe it's a smart move for both. Ben seems jinxed in MotoGP, maybe a return to Superbikes is just what he needs to get his career back on track.

Cause Cal is more aggresive than Dovi and perhaps Duc see a bit of Casey in him....and Cal was the only guy in top 6 out there still willing to take the chance on the Ducati.....

Dovi > Cal in my opinion but next year we'll be able to put to rest this debate without argument. The numbers will tell the story, no commentary needed.
As for Cal looking anything like Casey, come on....If Casey and Cal were on the same team right now, would Cal be anywhere near him? No F-ing way. The only career numbers the two will share when it's all over is DNF's. The problem for Cal is that when Casey wasn't crashing, he was winning. Cal will not replicate that performance on any machine.

This.
Cal has the aggression, but not the talent. He's shown he has no problem with throwing away multiple bikes in a weekend, but a willingness to crash doesn't automatically translate to wins.

What aggression? The watching AB,VR,SB show all race long aggression? Cal is fast, but has real issues with passing. I like Cal but the last two seasons (nevermind his rookie season) where he has had the speed he has not shown that killer instinct in the passing dept.
As for next year, I think he'll be faster than Dovi as Dovi's spirit is clearly broken and it will take a few months for Cal's to break giving Cal a head start on points.
Cal=/=Dovi
Cal a little faster, Dovi better on the brakes. Evens out.

Hodor has had 5 years to prove his worth at Ducati....and not Ducati has decided he isnt worth the sales he might be bringing in....so they cut him loose....
He can fight for 9th and 10th place somewhere else next year....
Ducati dont want a once in a blue moon podium....they want more....and they might get it from Cal....but they are certain with 5 years of data now that Hodor wont give what they want....

I think that's a very reasonable assessment of the mood within Ducati. All I would say to that is when you consider the list of talented guys Ducati have brought in and had little (being generous here) to no success—Melandri, Hayden, Rossi, Dovizioso—what makes them think Crutchlow is going to be the magic bullet? Obviously things have become stagnant there, and when that happens, change is a necessity. All I'm saying is that the problem in this equation is not the rider, and if Ducati expect anyone to rock up and instantly go quick, things are worse there than I realized. (And, for the record, I've been championing for Nicky's departure to World Supers for at least three years now.)
