As far as im concerned, Elitemafia's takes from here on out are automatically disqualified. How can one be so adamant (as Mick said 'go rambo') and admit not even knowing the ....... basic facts? Haha Jesus.

...Please excuse me for making a mistake in recalling a free practice accident from 2 years ago. No need to be a prick about it.

Wait wait, im being the prick now? Haha ur cracking me up. Dude come on. I didnt force u to comment, ur the one who replied, even questioning my "sanity" remember? Honestly u made me laugh on my way to work this morning, and for this I thank you.

Oh and dont go downplaying the incident to excuse urself for not even having the wherewithal of reading the summary of the crash (which was provided given the reason the discussion came up at all). This was a highprofile crash and aftermath by the highest profiled rider, and the indication that not all reprimands are created equal.

Still no firm information about Hayden to Aspar, just that he only needs to apply signature to paper that it's pretty much a done deal.  I can only speculate that Nicky is waiting till the last minute to sign because there still might be a possibility with the LCR proddy bike?

Searched around for information on the pneumatic Aprilia and came across this article with a quote from Alex Hoffmann….

<p style="margin-left:3.75pt;The ART has already proven its worth, and some bigger upgrades are on the cards. In an interview with the German website Motorsport Total, Aprilia test rider Alex Hofmann revealed that Aprilia has a new set of barrels and top end ready to test, with an 81mm bore rather than the current 78mm.

This is the first time I read about a bore change.  Where would that put them next year?  I’m guessing about where they are now with the new Japanese production racers on offer.  Is it possible this new Aprilia could beat the Japanese spec production racers.  I suppose it will depend on which software Aprilia decides to go with, if they have to use Dorna spec ECU, they will be starting at square one hence negating any advantage, if they can make the 20 liter limit and compete as a factory they may have to keep the tune conservative as to make full race distance, again advantage negated.

The article goes on about concessions Aprilia have asked for, seems the MSMA doesn’t want to budge on the fuel limit, or more than likely Ducati don’t.

(note) this link goes back to July so it's kind of dated in motorcycle racing speak

Could be Migs.  If Espargaro ends up having to stay with Aspar next year it may not be too bad, hard to tell at this stage.

if the LCR option is still there, then its probably a question of funding.  if the money is there then I still think LCR is his best option.  As far as I have heard there are a lot of questions as to how the ASPAR will fit into the rules next season, it might be worth it for him to wait and see before signing.

Espargaro to go to Forward racing a Yamaha "proddie", so neither LCR or Aspar Aprilia - from David Emmett on 21-09-2013.  Don't you lot read these news type sites?

I don't know Jumkie, maybe you see Nicky as being a bit more popular than he actually is.

As a relatively recent convert to road racing, I would be hard-pressed to even know who he is. He won SBK titles, didn't he, then won a GP championship and hasn't done anything much since? I could look it up, but the second-stringer at Ducati that is about to lose his ride doesn't seem worth the google.

Really, the only people you seem to hear about are Marquez, Lorenzo, Rossi, Pedrosa, Crutchlow and Bradl. In that order. No doubt there will be a bunch of press about the new guys coming into GP from Moto2 on the horizon.

I guess if I was pushed I could pick him out on the grid. He's the one riding the red bike with the sexy numberplate, right?

Winning a world title is a lot more than most GP riders accomplish in their careers.

Again.  10 years of racing, that's a whole freakin' DECADE!!!  And only 3 wins to show for, on PRODUCTION BIKES no less.

I win.  End of story.

No argument there. But most riders, having won a championship, continue to challenge for podiums and wins. Has that been the case with Hayden?

Yea, this site has gone to .....

Sorry if you took offence, but Crash.net is ..... This site at least has some informed heads, which is why I joined.

I really didn't mean to upset Hayden fans, just giving an honest assessment of how popular he may be with relative newcomers to the sport.

If it helps, Rossi who? :)

He's been with Ducati for the last few years. Jesus himself couldn't put that junker on the podium.

How many wins did Stoner get on that "junker"?  Oh.... and also a championship, if I'm not mistaken?

Hodor has had 5 years to prove his worth at Ducati....and not Ducati has decided he isnt worth the sales he might be bringing in....so they cut him loose....

He can fight for 9th and 10th place somewhere else next year....

Ducati dont want a once in a  blue moon podium....they want more....and they might get it from Cal....but they are certain with 5 years of data now that Hodor wont give what they want....

Jesus doesnt ride Ducs....

That's 'cuz he's off testing RCVs...

In all seriousness, I never said Ducati should keep Hayden. It's been five years; the relationship obviously isn't working. What I don't get is, why Cal? Why does everyone assume he'll be able to do things on the Duc that Dovi can't?
