I predict that yamaha will turn down the power on rossi's bike to ensure that lorenzo comes out on top. They will need to do this as Lorenzo will not be able to resist another ding dong battle after the yellow mist descends blocking his vision once more.

Maybe not the best time to test that theory b/c we know Lorenzo is going to use the new faster engine.

Before you get your knickers in a knot Rossi had the red mist well and truly covering him. It is however lorenzos championship to lose and therefore his to protect. He can finish 10th for the rest of the races and still win.

Yamaha & Fiat should be ok though because if they do rub each other again at least both bikes are the same colour. Can you imagine the colour of the bike after a close quarter battle with the Marlboro Ducati - or even wosr Barbera's yellow bike

Can't see Lorenzo taking it easy like he did at Motegi any more, he has learned a lesson. We may see him clear outto a moderated gap from here on in just as Stoner does. Any overtaking and Lorenzo will pick his corner better and just do the job now. Probably was a good lesson to him anyway.

Sepang has always been relatively kind to the Ducatis and last year Stoner won by 14 seconds. It rains every day so if the race is wet again, you've got to put some money on Stoner.

Three on the bounce would make a really interesting plot twist. PI is next as well. Imo, winning 4-5 races on the bounce is an extremely important part of winning a modern WC b/c you can deprive your opponents of wins for long periods of time. Lorenzo hasn't won in a while. He's looking a bit worse for wear even though the championship is basically a shoo-in. If Stoner can win at Sepang and then capture PI as well, he will be demonstrating to everyone in the paddock that he is still capable of winning a WC.

Tight battles rarely happen at the front, I'd suggest both riders concentrate on the race and try to minimise the "tight battles" for the playpen.

Plus he is doing what he wanted for Ducati .... getting a few wins before he goes.

But in this I see a possible hidden agenda ...... ie. he wants to show what he can do on a Duc. before Rossi gets there and shows the world what he can do. And you can't do much better than win on it

I'd say there's been a pretty concerted effort been put in too. Perhaps it was the motivation they needed that was lacking ( or is that lactosing?

) since 07?

Whatever the case, Rossi is having the baseline set high for him next year.

After 2007 i think stoner can win omn almost anything, IE next year on a lighting fast Honda.

Give stoner the kudos he won the champoinchip on a bike knowone else could ride, Lorenzo's doing it the best bike on the grid, BIG difference!
