Lorenzo switches to Alpinestar leathers

Hi Talps, how was your New Years celebrations? Good? That's nice.

Well I find it interesting that Rossi has been the catalyst to much of this dislike you speak of (that is if he had a human flaw of diva temprament, which we know he doesn't, because frankly Deities don't suffer from human defects, right)… Biaggi, Gibernau, Stoner, Lorenzo, all relegated by the Yellow Army as villains, and his worshipping throngs such as yourself follow suit as sheep. Btw, Dani and Rossi getting along, haha. Uhm, when did you start watching Googling GP? I doubt they are on eachother’s Xmas list buddy. I really doubt Lorenzo and Spies will get into a ........ squabble of egos; that, it seems, has been reserved for Rossi and Pedrosa. And why not, they both suffer from the same complex that only mindless worship could repress upon a human man--the Yellow Army and Alberto Puig are not that different!

Great thanks, happy new year, hopefully this year you'll develop a brain cell or two.......

you've started 2011 well, Mindless Hating on Steroids

I already know this is a waste of time but.....

Where was Rossi when Lorenzo and Dani were busy hating each other in 250's? well before they'd thrown a leg on a Motogp bike-don't you remember Carmelo forcing them to shake hands publicly? Google it, or maybe watch another pre-2006 season review DVD or two http://www.powerslide.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/.....gif

Where was Rossi when Stoner and Dani were fierce rivals in 125's-250's, very busy disliking each other? Adding to this Stoner's comments on Dani and Puig upon his signing with Honda-and the sharing data issue, and Dani's comments back, Rossi was conducting the whole thing from the Fiat Garage I suppose??

Where was Rossi when Stoner and Jorge weren't getting on in 250's? Ah note that Jorge wasn't getting on with many back then......your dreaming and deluded if you think that (oh wait its you) you are dreaming and deluded-Jorge and Spies will never be best buds! No doubt when they have a spat or two you'll find a way to blame Rossi.....

And for reference as I know you don't read or interpret posts very well, especially those which oppose your POV, all I said was that Dani and Rossi probably had the best relationship of the aliens, not that they were pen pals!

I find it very interesting that the top four riders don't really like each other at all,

I'm sure none of them are friends at all, they couldn't be competing at this level. But i don't think i've ever seen anything to suggest there was anything bitter between Stoner and Pedrosa in the past. In fact Pedrosa was one of the few riders in the lower classes that Casey didn't complain about, and always seemed to respect.

Unlike you, others know that the sport revolves around the Golden Boy,

Did you see the Autosport.com top 2 stories of 2010, at least 15 of them were about Rossi...

Funny you mention it, but I did, and I had the same thought. In fact, before I got to number 1, I was worried that Rossi's injury would supercede Tomizawa. Anyway, I know the Alpinestar/Dainese thing may be nothing (or something), regardless I did get Talps to react.

Where was Rossi during these times?, Hating Biaggi, then later, hating Gibernau!

I think all this blaming of Rossi over any little thing out there is becoming really boring. I don't think Rossi owns the news company does he? So they print more of him... Yes I would like for them to print more of other riders but its not he's fault.

Maybe you guys are not blaming him for it but it's whatever. Hopefully these sites start writing more about Dani, Spies, Hayden and all the the rest of the grid.

I didn't respond to Talps because it reminded me of that guy who posted up Rossi's kart titles when he was 3 years old. Who gives a .... what they were doing on 125s/250s, we all accept they are little kids figuring out how to be men in the lower categories. Once you hit the big time though, its time to make some steps toward maturity. Something Lorenzo has done by most accounts. This, while Rossi has pouted that his teammate was getting equal treatment. No wonder he attracts peeps like Talps, eh.

Fair enuf Esco, yes, media are obsessed with him, and its not his fault, agree. Perhaps its just a reflection of the throngs they try to sell to, eh? Did you see the who the rider of the year was on crash.net? Hahaha, Lorenzo the champ came 2nd. Nice, eh.

About the leathers things, CaliKid and Austin may be closer to the truth, but who cares about truth, I'd rather imagine a dimly lit room with smoking billowing out, and Rossi giving his nod to Guido as he says, ok boss, Nicky will have to shed his Alpinestars or I'll break his legs...

Mhmmm. I can remember Stoner and Pedrosa racing quite hard in the 250's, but I don't remember any real hate there. And I believe that Stoner has actually somewhat defended Pedrosa against some criticisms in recent years. As for the recent comments concerning the new situation, I thought that it was actually Dani who first commented about Stoners engine feedback after the test, not the other way around. And Stoners reaction was that he expressed no fears of Honda's ability to provide all factory riders with a bike they would be competitive on, right? Can't see much hate there, although Dani might be a bit defensive. But that looks more like fear speaking.

I agree with you on the dislike between Lorenzo and Pedrosa, that had absolutely nothing to do with Rossi.

Of Stoner and Jorge I remember no off-track friction in the 250's, but I'm old and I forget things. However, at the moment, I believe that Lorenzo and Stoner express a lot of respect for each in public.

My two cents.

is this the incident you are referring to? the one where The King of Spain not Carmelo forced the handshake?

"But the victory ceremony was made even more interesting than usual by the gesture in the press room, as the riders waited to go out onto the balcony for the champagne and trophies. King Juan Carlos, who has played a remarkable and conciliatory role in recent Spanish history, attempted to settle one of the bitterest disputes to have raged through a country already suffering deep regional divisions. Juan Carlos took the hands of Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo, and forced them together, to shake hands. Lorenzo smiled, and shook, while Pedrosa, who has made no secret of his animosity towards Lorenzo, looked annoyed at being pressured into this. This feud is by no means settled, but at least the King has tried to play his part.

Well maybe Rossi got special leathers flown in overnight before the races and Lorenzo didn't. Ever though about that, huh?

We all know it's Uccio that does the dirty business. Rossi will not be in that room. Lol.

Speaking of leathers, so does anybody want to make a prediction as to what they'll look like? I seriously doubt they will look as anonymous as Stoner & Nickys hav been. Im sure there will be much of a 'look at me' element as ever. I think this is a job for member News.

So you think all leathers should be bland then?
