He's only done 4 laps. One would presume a crash although him being that far off the pace and crashing seems a bit strange.

100 laps eh Ben? You might know the place after this.

Practice up, I'm going to be there in the fall.

That is the extent of their HRC support.

This was a quote from the redbull website:

"Nobuatsu Aoki of Japan, pictured, turned a few laps on the Rizla Suzuki MotoGP team bike July 1 before handing it over to American Ben Spies."

So basically, he flew all the way from Japan to help set-up the bike for Ben...that is why his lap times are soooo slow and why he only lapped 4 times.

WOW! Ben gets all the "Red Carpet Treatment" from Suzuki. Suzuki really wants him for next year.

They better hurry up and offer him that full-time ride next year. My guess is Chris is on his way

to WSBK or a Sat. Team next year for Honda. We'll see!

fast compared to the other's on this list of test riders, be interesting to compare these times next to the gp riders when they get there.

when the real riders arrive the times prob touch the 40 mark. thats how .... these test riders are

yep, assuming conditions will be similar, it will be a good gauge on how fast canepa is.

i'd hate to see what happens when a crash like hopper did and flies into that very soft concrete wall at 300k/hr

unsafe track

I'd hardly call Spies a test rider.

I'm expecting Spies to go fastest this afternoon though, else we can all praise Canepa as a new god.

Spies was quicker than Melandri first time out, if Canepa can keep Ben behind him it would suggest he is doing better than Marco......

true, but you could hardly call him a gp rider yet either. besides he was acting as a test rider there was he not ?
