First of all homophobe means being afraid of ....'s. I do not fear gays I don't agree with it therefore I do not LIKE them.

Rossi is great I just have to speak from the aspect of those who feel that some people here will just believe anything in favor of Rossi.

Currently, Michelin and Bridgestone are the only tyre suppliers in MotoGP, but the tender for next year will be open to any manufacturer interested.

Ezpeleta made it clear, however, that the winner is very likely to be a company with experience in the category.

"I don't know who it will be, so I can't say," he added. "I can however say that it should be a manufacturer with many years of experience in this class.

"The tender is public, so it's open to everyone. The proposal will not specify money, because the supply must be free of charge. Instead it must specify how many tyres you are willing to supply, what kind, and stuff like that."

if this rule change is truely about slowing corner speed in the name of saftey and they want the company to have had prior experience in motogp i can only see one real choice. Dunlop !

Corners are not straights, where 10 mph less or more make little difference. Each additional mph you bring into a corner, weighs a lot...

What is the fairest way to allocate a spec tire?

Twenty riders equals twenty containers containing X number of tires supplied by the manufacturer for the race weekend.

Each container is numbered so on Thursday the riders lottery draw a number that corresponds to a container and that is their tire allocation for the weekend.

Go away boys - good luck to ya?

The most expensive bikes in the world racing on the least expensive tires in the world.

I'm for a control tire AND reduction in cost but this is preposterous. Free tires? If the free tires I've gotten in my life are anything to go by, MotoGP will be plenty slow next year.
<

Does anyone believe the tire companies have ever made money from racing?
<

WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!

Let's see....the first test is right after the last motogp race...what to test on? Only about a month away.

No, I'm serious. I think free tires are a bad idea. If I were a team getting free tires I'd order the max and waste them all. If we have free tires and the teams do nothing to defray the expense, Dorna are going to have to limit the grid so the tire manufacturer doesn't go bankrupt. I guess limiting the grid isn't a big deal, the Japanese have already chased off all of the privateers. Ducati didn't help matters when they fired D'Antin.

It's only 40 tires a weekend...............for 20 riders..................for 18 rounds. That's only 14,400 tires. Plus another 5,000 or so for testing. Let's just say the spec manufacturer will only have to transport 20,000 tires around the globe over the course of 8 months. That sounds pretty cheap. If I were Michelin or Bridgestone, I would take some Pilot Sports or BT01s and slap a MotoGP sticker on them.

If teams want good stuff they need to tell Ezy they are willing to pay.

i think thats very likely and was one of the reason i was always against a spec/control or single make rule on tyres.

well it looks like you got your wish mate, i will still follow the new 2nd tier championship thats 1 sec a lap slower than wsb regardless. Ezy should learn its the fastest laps that make the premier class not just spouting "these are prototypes". imagine if gp2 did faster laps than F1, which would be the pinicle of racing ?
