<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (mylexicon @ May 14 2008, 07:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>If Stoner and Rossi go 1,2 while Pedrobot and Lauren-zo bin it, I would say the championship is wide open.

Furthermore, Hayden isn't great in the rain on an 800 so if he puts up a goose egg, he could fall from what appears to be a guaranteed 5th place finish this season.

All of those things seem likely.

Think about it. If Stoner wins and Dani bins they are tied for points and Stoner would have the tiebreak.

That would put Stoner back in the thick of it.

I guess I misunderstood your point about "The Championship Being Turned on its Head."

Because you go on and make my point about the top 5 guys all being fairly close in the points.

And for my racely post...the results are in:

ALICE GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE
1 Andrea DOVIZIOSO

2 Valentino ROSSI

3 Chris VERMEULEN

4 Randy DE PUNIET

5 Anthony WEST

6 Nicky HAYDEN

7 Marco MELANDRI

8 Dani PEDROSA

9 Colin EDWARDS

10 John HOPKINS

11 Loris CAPIROSSI

12 Sylvain GUINTOLI

13 Toni ELIAS

14 Jorge LORENZO

15 James TOSELAND

1. pedrosa
2. lorenzo
3. rossi or stoner

or its gonna be a battle between rossi and stoner for 1st but then again im not to sure michelin have really pulled there fingers out.

This is a hard one to predict.
With these temperatures there is no advantage for b.stone here unless it rains.
The fight will be among the usual four.

1. Rossi
2. Stoner
3. Pedrosa
4. Lorenzo

With rain I would replace Lorenzo with Vermulen, probably a bit higher up too.

Dry:
1. Pedrosa
2. Lorenzo
3. Rossi

Wet:
1. Stoner
2. Rossi
3. Pedrosa

If it's dry it's a Michelin track ala Portugal or Jerez, if it's wet Stoner is 0.9 faster than anyone as we have seen at the wet Jerez test & wet Chinese Warm Up.

Happy to be proved wrong.

It has been confirmed that lorenzo will race as I always thought he would. I think he will ride in pain but his pace will not be affected unless he crashes again and does further injury.
I may not know much about bike racing, but I do know something about medicine
