The race is not on dirty, its is not on a US track, and there are better riders in the race....
<

But seriously....

In the Dry
1) Rossi
2) Stoner
3) Pedrosa
4) Dovi
5) Toseland

In the Wet
1) Rossi
2) Stoner
3) Toseland
4) CV
5) Dovi

Lorenzo won't race at Le Mans just to be sure he can be ready for Mugello followed by his home race of Cataluyna a week later.

...... oh I wish!

What a corking season we seem to have unfurling in front of our eyes. Le Mans can't get here soon enough!

...................

Love to all!!!!

Burky old man..where've you been?

I'd love to see Melandri or Dovi on the podium in LeMans. It's hard to think which out of Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa or Psycho Lorry would have to drop further down the line to make way for them though.
In any case, I obviously want Rossi to win. Why are so many people writing him off in the event of a wet race? Rossi isn't half bad in the rain...anyone else here remember Donington 05?? I think that the fact he hasn't yet raced on the stones in the wet might be a problem, but considering he's been shredding tyres early in the race the cooler temps if it rains might actually work in his favour?
Why do 2 weeks seem so long???

Well at the wet Jerez test he was a second behind Stoner, & in the wet Warm Up at Shanghai he was...a second behind Stoner. Based on that it's fair to assume he would be...a second a lap slower than Stoner at any wet race.

Predictions? RDP to exchange an early lead in semi wet conditions with Guinters in front of some 50,000 delirious froggies - oops see ya later Sylvan - white flag, all change, you too Randy...too late. Vermin- different race, Stoner valuable rostrum, Hayden down, Dani to reaffirm his wet weather capabilities.....the Hoff to pass the Doctor..... hold on a minute!???!!!

The 18th is smack in the middle of a dry spell so no rain this year. Doesn't look good for Stoner.

Rossi
Pedrosa
Hayden
Dovizioso
Stoner
Lorenzo
Toseland
Edwards
Capirossi
Hopkins
Melandri
Nakano
Elias
Vermeulen
de Puniet
De Angelis
Guintoli
West

1. Hayden (if not him; then Rossi).
2. who cares

DNF DePunt, tries too hard to impress, dumps it, hopefully no casualties.

The only bad thing about this season (besides Hayden midpacking it) is not reading your posts on a regular basis my friend.

If you manage to get your airfare, then the same deal applies to you as it did for Rog buddy.

It looks to me like Valentino is finally...........finally back to being the fully focussed old bean we came to expect from him as a World Champion. I still believe he lost focus in 2006, and perhaps the arse kicking everybody took from Casey in 2007 shook him into life again. Valentino's performance in China was vintage Rossi, pure class.

For me, this performance puts a whole new outlook on the season. I did have George Lawrence as the man to beat this year, eventually winning the war of minds over an equally impressive Pedrosa thus far. But if Valentino is truly back, then I think the old dog may have enough tricks up his sleeve to deal with the pair of them!

My predictions for Le Mans,....the same as every other GP (Except Laguna where Nicky will return!!!) Those 3 on the podium, in some order.

As for Casey, well something isn't quite as perfect as it was last year. If they can find out what it is, then who knows. There's a long way to go yet.

Love to all!!!!

Bloody hell Burky, long time no see!

How you doin buddy?

Pete

I think Rossi got himself a confidence boost by winning last race. He now knows he has a package capable of winning. I think he will be even stonger than last race.

Dry - Pedrosa - Lorenzo - Rossi - Presuming Michelin have the edge
Wet - Stoner - Rossi, Vermy

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (SackWack @ May 4 2008, 04:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Not a chance that the championship will be turned on its head. I would still expect to see the top guys going well and the points to be failry close among the top 5 guys.

If Stoner and Rossi go 1,2 while Pedrobot and Lauren-zo bin it, I would say the championship is wide open.

Furthermore, Hayden isn't great in the rain on an 800 so if he puts up a goose egg, he could fall from what appears to be a guaranteed 5th place finish this season.

All of those things seem likely.

Think about it. If Stoner wins and Dani bins they are tied for points and Stoner would have the tiebreak.
<
That would put Stoner back in the thick of it.

These damn weather people can't get it right, now its supposed to be dry again.

Rossi
Pedro
Stoner
Lorenzo

I guess...

So it will rain and dry.

Rossi then Vermin then Stoner

If it dry and rain later

Rossi, Stoner then Vermin then Melandry

If it rains and never dry

Vermin, Rossi and Stoner and Edward

If it dry and never rain

Rossi, Pedrobot and Stoner and Lorenzo

I am going to confine myself to medical predictions from now on; I am much better at these than race results. It has been confirmed that lorenzo will race as I always thought he would. I think he will ride in pain but his pace will not be affected unless he crashes again and does further injury.
