You're right about Lewis, he will definitely be even more eager to win his home GP. Maybe the people will go crazy again, like they used to do when Mansell (and Hill) were around. I remember seeing the 87 GP on dvd, when Mansell won the race by beating Piquet, the crowd totally loved that!

Damn, I really can't wait anymore!!!! I wanna see them on track!!
If he can pull off an overtaking move as good as the one Mansell did on Piquet in that GP he deserves the win

Yeah, indeed!
But I have my doubts, not about Lewis, but we just don't see many overtakings anymore, those days it was normal to see them actually have a fight (on track I mean).

I remember someone asked Nelson what his tactics for the race would be (dunno which race tho) and he replied: ''Try to get Mansell off the race''

Unfortunately yeah. I remember he did a pretty balsy move down hangar straight in GP2 last year, it was great to watch! I hope we'll see some of that on Sunday, but like you say its unlikely.

I cant remember which race but Piquet once spiked Mansell with laxatives the night before the Grand Prix Very sportsmanlike

But that is funny!! Didn't Berger put some frogs on Senna's bed or was it the other way around?? Or were that other drivers?? I dunno, but those days were way more fun, these days the drivers don't seem to do funny things anymore. Like F1 itself, they're all getting boring.

I have a good sense of humor but i don't know if it would last 24 hours!!

Everything is more professional now, and i think even though it may not be as funny it is for the best really.

Lewis was a demon last year, and normally i would say that probably wont carry over to F1 with him, but its Lewis, so its possible he will exceed the norm again.

After FP 1 and 2 it seems Ferrari and McLaren will once again fight for victory, not a shock I guess. Raikkonen was the fastest driver of the day, Lewis had the 2nd best time today.

I'm more curious about Fernando's strategy tbh. He HAS to beat Lewis soon or else he's gonna play 2nd fiddle by end of the season.
The Massa/Raikkonen battle is interesting as well, there's not a clear favourite atm, but if Kimi fails to beat Massa in the next 3 races, then FM will be the number ''one'' driver.

Yea its getting close to that bit of the season where favorites are going to emerge in the teams in order to make the push for the title in the second half of the season. The Ferrari battle has been fascinating me all year, and its just hotted up now Kimi's finally gotten over his new years eve hangover. As for Mclaren, FA is under major pressure, and needs a win very soon or else he can start thinking about next season.

Were a nice few last minutes. Good to see Raikkonen on first row. Fernando might be a little bit heavier than Lewis, we'll see tomorrow.
Hope it will be a great race. Would be fantastic for the fans if Hamilton would win, but for the championship a Ferrari win would be better.
