<div align="centerWilliams confirmed on Friday the appointment of Adam Parr as the team’s new Chief Executive Officer. Parr will replace departing CEO Chris Chapple and will take up his position on November 27.

“I have followed Williams for many years and feel privileged to be able to work with the team,” commented Parr. “Next season marks the beginning of a new era for us and I am particularly excited about the opportunity to develop our partnerships with Toyota and the existing sponsor community.”

Parr graduated from Cambridge University before starting work at Barclays Investment Bank. In 1990 he joined Rio Tinto, one of the world’s leading mining companies, where he held a number of senior positions, including that of Managing Director of its industrial minerals business. Parr has lived and worked in Africa, Europe, Japan and Australia and is also a qualified barrister.

“Adam has been known to me for a long time,” explained team boss Frank Williams. “He is a passionate supporter of Formula One and Williams and I am confident that, with his wealth of experience, Adam will make a considerable contribution to the future progression of the business.”

I'm really excited about the news!!!!
It's good to see a guy like Hamilton entering F1!

It will be difficult for him next season. Driving against FA won't be easy at all, but I guess nobody expects otherwise. I do think he will show his true potential, he probably won't beat FA overall, but I won't be surprised if he beat the Spaniard at occasions. I really think Hamilton is the next best thing!!
I will support him next season, well..Kimi will remain my number 1 driver of course
<
but he will be my 2nd favourite.

I think Hamilton will be a dark horse for next year ( no pun intended ) Team principal Ron Dennis realises in picking Lewis is a gamble, and obviously has faith in him..he exclaimed that if they can provide a good car underneath him who knows he may get a race win..

Hakkinen on the other hand I heard was going to be a reserve driver, but i cannot see that at the ripe old age of 38, Ron Dennis advised that he wanted to rekindle his emotional involvment with the team.

He added Mika is very keen to understand what he can and can't contribute to our own programme he said..

So my question is a similar sort of role as conducted by Mick Doohen with Honda?

More news!

Jenson Button will miss next weeks testing after suffering 2 hairline cracks to his ribs whilst Go Karting....

In the meantime Barrichello, Klien and James Rossiter will test for Honda.

Why oh why do they feel the need to get an adrenalin rush elsewhere???

^ A band vocalist named Raquel del Rosario...however, they said the story wasn't true. They just went for a holiday. Well, not big news for me anyway. Married or not, I still don't like him, haha!

He's a very nice guy and a great Formula 1 World Champion but I feel he's had it too easy over his career and more jammy than Michael Schumacher and that can't be good. Face it...how many times have we seen him retire in one in every 2 or 3 races like Kimi did this year?
I think next year will be a totally different story though.

Let's just stick with what I said earlier ok guys? That's half and half.

Im not sure about the nice guy part.. the way he treats/treated his team is disgraceful

Me too...I think some people have grown to dislike him because of the issues he had with Renault...

Hamilton tested the Maclaren the other day for the first time and came in 6th overall..

Also today former double World Champ Mika Hakkinen also tested today..WTF?

He complained about not having the same status in his team that MS had in Ferrari.

Fisichella instead of helping him in China when RENAULT screwed Alonso's race changing his tyres in the first stop with the championship at stake simply raced his own race and then made a mistake handing MS the lead.
So after his team makes him lose his half a minute lead and his teammate almost takes him out and subsequently hands MS the lead Alonso says he "felt a bit alone", .... HE WAS NOT ALONE, HE WAS ....... ABANDONED BY HIS TEAM AND SCREWED BY HIS TEAMMATE!
I DON'T SEE ANYONE SAYING HAYDEN "TREATED DISGRACEFULLY" HONDA BECAUSE HE PUBLICLY WANTED DANI TO FINISH BEHIND HIM IN THE LAST RACE!!!!!!!!"

We all know how Ferrari would have acted in the same position, they would have used Massa to block and disturb as much as possible to protect MS's lead.

Apparently now wanting to fight on equal terms with your rival is called "disgraceful treatment".

Renault won 2 WCC championships thanks to Alonso (Alonso had no need to end 2nd in Brazil this year or win in China last year), he endangered his WDC stake for the sake of the team and he did it gladly, he thanked his team for every win he got and he never complained about reliability when his car fell apart in crucial races (Monza) or in 2003/2004 when it broke down 1 out of 3 races.

Unlike Raikkonen who gets annoyed and starts pushing marshalls or throwing his steering wheel across the box.

Not liking a driver is perfectly understandable, writing ........ is <span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%DISGRACEFUL.

Hey, cool it down teo. You might have a heart attack!

Well seriously, first: thanks for giving alonso's side of the story. We might have got it wrong.

But truth is, that's how some people saw it: that the way he "treated" them was not good. May be you're right, and we're wrong, or vice versa. But there's two side in every story, and both parties have their shortcomings in my opinion.
