interesting

At first i thought this was a bit of a joke, and it looked horrid. But i quite like it now, although it looks like a show car not a racecar. Have to wait and see what it looks like on a track, but i much prefered the old Lucky strike job.

You're right!

That car is utterly disgusting! They claim to have no sponsors on the car, but still that's horrid!

You're right, it looks like showcar. I love Lucky Strike on just about everything, but this is diferent from anything other, and i like wierd and diferent things. I always had problem to make diference between honda and toyota on track (also BMW and Williams). This could help.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>The car’s new look is a powerful call to action for fans, sponsors, customers and members of the public to join Honda’s commitment to help address the environmental issues facing the world.

Via the websitewww.myearthdream.com, anyone who wishes, will have the opportunity to have their name on the car, make a pledge to make a lifestyle change to improve the environment and make a donation to an environmental charity. Under the concept of “our car is your car”, each name will form a tiny individual pixel which will help build the image of planet earth on the car. Each name will be visible on the website when you make the pledge or under a microscope on the car.

Universal Music, the largest music company in the world, and Gatorade are the first global brands to partner the team in this exciting new concept. Existing partners have enthusiastically embraced the idea and all remain involved with the team for the 07 season. In addition, the team is delighted to announce that Fila, IBM, Instron, Oliver Sweeney, Perkin Elmer, Showa Denko, TUV and GF Agie Charmilles have joined the roster of team partners and suppliers.

The Honda Racing F1 Team will work closely with global environmental charities to develop Honda’s existing environmental ethos within the world’s most high profile motor-sport.

I don't really like it tbh, maybe that will change after I've seen it on track.
Doesn't matter anyway, I just hope it's a good car..

I prefer the black livery they used in testing, this one looks like a car wrapped up in a map.

That's exactly what I said to my dad when we were watching an interview with Button about the year ahead.
Formula 1 is hardly the sport to be advertising 'going green' in also is it? Fine they plant trees around the world to help but they're still releasing many bad emissions unless i've misunderstood something!

F1 racing has apparently been carbon neutral since 1997. But i think the point is that honda want to raise awareness, and show that they are conscious of environmental issues.

Are they really??? I don't know the facts

Allso I don't know what amount of damage F1 does to the environment, and that's the only reason I doubt new design/concept.
Except for that, I love it more and more.

No ugly mess of logotypes anymore

Interesting concept
New / diferent / daring

I personally think its purely a marketing thing. In all honesty, I don't think Honda really give a toss about global warming.

Yeah I agree that it's a thoughtful idea and we should all respect that but still it's Formula 1 not 'show off your car livery ideas' time.

It'll definately stand out on the F1 field anyways.

I'm not so sure. I love criticising Honda, but I belive many japanese car makers are VERY serious about the environment. Sure, this stunt might help sell a few hybrids, but these guys are doing somthing about the environment, which is a lot better than nothing.

I think Fisichella and Massa will be the guys to beat at the start of the year.

But once Alonso and Raikkonnen have got used to the new mclaren and ferrari i cant see them being stopped.

Have to say can't see anyone other than Kimi winning the title in the end though.

Nah alonso is quite simply better than the others. He will do it.

To be honest I don't expect too much from Fisi. He's good, but he ain't great. I only see him winning races if he has a really dominant car, and to be honest, I don't know if Renault will be. I personally think Mclaren and Ferrari will have the better package. It also wouldn't surprise me if Heikki would finish in front of Fisi by the end of the season.

I do think Massa will start out well. He knows the team and he showed us he can win races. He did really well in testing too. He seems to be really fast. Kimi needs to adapt first, when he has, he will be fine, but then it might be too late for him to win the title.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ Mar 6 2007, 09:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Nah alonso is quite simply better than the others. He will do it.
If he has the car to do it, he will probably do it. I also think Fernando is better than the others and if Mclaren will provide him a winning car I can definitely see him making it three in a row.

Why Fisichella and Massa?

Alonso and Raikkonen are getting used to the cars everyday and have been doing so for months now, and had testing and even official testing in which they've proved they have adjusted to the car...this shouldn't be a big problem and will be solved in 1 or 2 races anyway.
I want Kimi to win it but Alonso and McLaren are looking strong and even Massa (although I don't think he's in the same class).

I think the two Ferraris will perform evenly, neither driver is gonna stand out too significantly. The renault car seems to be doing ok, ut Fisi is an average driver, new boy will be bettering him regularly soon enough.

Yeah, and when that happens it's ''bye bye'' Fisi!!
I think this will be his last season at renault. It would be better to let someone like Nelson Piquet Jr. drive next season. I personally think that would make things more exciting. I actually think Fisi is more than an average driver. I do think he's good, but he just doesn't have what it takes to take it to the next level. If you look at the past, he usually did a very good job compared to his teammates. Getting beaten by FA ain't a real surprise, cause Fernando is simply better and he HAS what it takes to be a real winner (and he obviously showed that by winning two titles in a row).

Anyway, the fight between Fisi and Heikki should be interesting, a very talented rookie against a very experienced driver..
