I said previously that it is strange for Stoner to run a hot pace during practice and not have it during the race. I prefer to look at other results rather than focus on one meeting. If he has had the pace at previous rounds he been able to battle or run away with it. Why was there a difference here?
He was faster in all but 1 session. With Stoner's consistency and ability he should have been running in the 1'37's for at least half race distance. Something wasn't working and he ended up running times he could have done in his sleep.
