He went straight to his team to tell them about the problem he made up cause he felt he should of won the race and thought he would tell them a fib to feel better about himself

Excuses, excuses... Stoner's a whinger, if he's finishing on the podium, his bike's fine FFS...

i agree.
his bike was fine for the first few laps and he was running consistent 1;38s. i would expect to see inconsistant lap time if he were hitting false neutrals.
stoner fans just cant except he lost a race plain and simple, stoner has always whined when things dont go his way ,so i think this clutch excuse is bollocks.

bloody miserable ...., didn't congratulate Rossi & came out with some feeble excuse instead... great rider, poor sportsman<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Racejumkie @ Sep 18 2007, 07:58 AM) <div class='quotemain'>

rossi needs to learn abit about humility.

<
<
how the hell can you say this.
rossi has more humility than stoner by a long way. stoner stormed off like a little girl because he didn't win, rossi is always the first to congratulate.

Rossi's the first to congratulate? Just like he did with Giveupnow?

Would you go shake hands with someone you loath... lot of bad feeling between Rossi/ Gibbers & it just wasn't happening aside from the press conference.

I was demonstrating the fact that his quote was wrong. He isn't nice to everyone in the paddock!

Not sure what coverage you were watching but Casey stopped to shake Vale's hand when they were on the bike!

Poor sportsman ... get your facts straight before you write utter ........!

I agree, surprisingly he's still nice to Tiger Tony

but there is NO reported animosity between VR &CS so why does CS not give credit where it's due? In all of Casey's victories Rossi has been a great sportsman & congratulated him... seems Casey doesn't like to do that.

They get about 30 seconds to say anything ... he stopped and congratulated Vale, clapped him on the rostrum ... sprayed him with Champagne and referred to him as "Valentino" (unlike Dani who continually uses last names)! You can't say that is poor sportsmanship!

Your right, it isn't poor sportsmanship but it would still have been better if he had given credit to Rossi & Pedders riding, rather than blaming his clutch.

as i said, looks to consistent for a bike thats "hitting false neutrals" a false neutral will cost you the best part of a second ,even more if you miss a breaking point because of lack of engine breaking imho.

Stoner said he was having clutch problems and took time to adjust to this in the race - hence why he started catching them again towards the end of the race. I didn't say he had tyre problems, I said I was wondering what happened with them. Anyway he was so far ahead of any other bridgestone runner that I don't see your point.

here we go stoner fans bring on the excuses.
I mean after you slate rossi fans for pointing out true problems im sure you wont be above still trying to imply that stoner would have won would it not have been for his poor little clutch.

Rossi and pedrosa outrode him 5 x over today.
I wouldve thought more of stoner if he wouldve got up there with them and fought for it, even if it meant falling off .... easy points for the championship me thinks ...

seems everyone has excuses FFS;

Anthony West: 12th Position
"I felt really, really good in the first few laps and the bike felt right: everything worked together and made me feel I could pass everyone in front of me. I kept making up places but all of a sudden I had problems with some sliding at the front. There were a number of times I felt uneasy, so I changed my riding style a bit to push the rear some more, but that wasn't very helpful and caused some spinning. I've struggled here all weekend but I'm looking forward to Motegi and I'm sure we can iron out these issues."

What happened to westy mate??

Westy finished 12th! At least his excuse is feasable.. Casey finished 3rd and was beaten by only a second, as if he had a problem.. He simply cant hack being outridden fairly by two superior riders/packages on the day.. So he has a whinge and cant even congratulate anyone.. Hes a sook, always has been and always will be..
