I havn't been posting because people are going way offtopic. I have been quite busy getting British GP sort out and trying to get a job. As for my pic of Chaz he is not in MotoGP at the mo so I thought I would have James Ellison insted anything wrong with that?

Nothing wrong at all, mate. Just wondering where you`d got to recently. Being a bit friendly, you know?

Nice to see you Wes

I trust you will doing the weekend camp at the GP?

What sort of work are you looking for? hope you get sorted mate.

Live timing is coming to a close for FP1 - KRJ in second place at the moment!
<

Edit - make that 1st spot!

Excited to see KRJR at the front with Edwards. Then the usuals, should make for an interesting weekend throwing a couple random names up front.

When you look at pure numbers it's more a fact than an opinion. However, who is the better is a little more than numbers. Dohan's recovery and comback was amazing. Very few people are capable of a thing like that. On the other hand, in pure skill, as a media person, killer instinct I'd have to say I would follow the numbers and rate Rossi above Dohan

Still going by the numbers is only one way of looking at it. There`s a lot of determining factors, you know? Look at Ago`s records, still the best on paper then look at all the advantages he had. It`s my opinion that Doohan is better than Rossi, but being an Aussie that`s my patriotic duty

I still belive it`s impossible to compare riders of different eras. I mean, it`s easy to say, for example Rainey is better than moneybags Cardoso. That`s obvious. If Wayne still had use of his legs, he could still beat moneybags now. But two very high profile roders who are/were obviously a cut above the rest, it gets a little bit harder than Rainey vs. the Spanish Sloth. I don`t belive you can compare Rossi and Doohan.

Besides Doohan still has the record of most wins in a season.

Hey,

As Alex has rightly stated a commanding pole for Rossi, excellent 2nd place for Hopper lets hope he gets a podium, and fantastic to see KRJ make up the front row with 3rd.

Great ride from the Mole, dissapointing for local boys Pedrosa and Gibbers down in 11th and 13th respectively.

Should be a great race for those chasing for 2nd spot...

My pics are 1.Rossi
2.Ped
3.Hay
My confusion is where to place Elias, Melandri,Stoner, and KRJ.
Does anyone think KRJ is showing race pace and has the stuff to place in the top 5? I think Ped. will only outdo Hayden because he is Spanish, and Rossi well he is back ladies and gentlemen. Melandri (Mr. inconsistency!!!) Stoner is good but can he really keep up to the battle this race will bring in the front without crashing or falling back? Elias he confuses me, maybe I havent been following him for enough years. OOst help me out.

If there's one guy I'd love to see on the podium it's KR, whatever chassis advice that the team got from HRC at the post race test at Mugello is working. Kenny's a star.

be a real shock if he gets that bike on the box...... i hope he does, that would be great. sure would shut up all the krjr doubters.... me included!

I agree... that catalunya straight is really loooooooooooooooooooooooong for a bike with a detuned RCV donk.

Smoking, not too sure what to think about Elias. Teo has said in the bast that he is a slow learner and it takes him some time to get things sorted and find his pace. I really thought he would be a contender this season, especially after his performance at Jerez. Who knows, I think he could come around later this season but we'll see.

KRJR... impressive. Humble pie anyone?

Shitzuki might be regreting firing him considering he ended up ahead of both Shitzuki riders.

Congratulations and all that to KR, but he wouldn`t have got there if most of the fast bikes didn`t land in the kitty litter.

No, I'll agree that he wouldn't have been there if Capirossi, Melandri, Stoner and Pedrosa didn't all crash. Either way, he was on the pace this weekend and would have been right there in the mix with the rest of 'em. And I think Suzuki are okay with letting him go. He wouldn't have the same drive at Suzuki that he has in his father's team. With Suzuki he knows he has an average (at best) powerplant, an average chassis and generally poor tires. With the KR team he knows he has the best powerplant on the grid, an average to good chassis and the best tires on the grid. In addition, he doesn't have to deal with Hopkins (it's documented that they didn't get along while at Suzuki) and gets to work with his family (Chuck Aksland and the rest must be considered family at the Roberts Ranch). All in all, IMO Team KR have given KRJR a decent chance at showing what he's got in an atmosphere that he can excel in.
