Jum has made some good points. Instead of trying to shoot holes in his thoughts with isolated cases we should go back and read slowly what he is communicating to us.

Do we really want tire rules, gas rules, contract rules, grid rules and rider qualification rules or do we want a real competition on the TRACK ???

Notice no mention of ECU or CC limit because if CC's are limited to 500 then no need to ban TC, RL or FM. Electronic control will disappear into the vapor with lower CC's and we could probably pick up 4-5 factory teams.

Slower races ??? LOL the 250 single is only 8 seconds slower than the awesome 1000's per lap now. Ever wondered how long the 1000's hold their throttle wide open per lap. Bet it is not as much as you think it is.

As for now-------Spain Rules----- no I mean literally Spain Rules

ok jum we will have a look

Never said to give Jumkie a bye round. Ride him hard, he has been saddle sore before and will be again.

How so?

I'd say limit power to 220 or even less, bore up the engines to 1200cc and make them heavier. Ban tc etc. and then we'll see reduced costs and more bikes/ a riders wc. Crap tires that don't go off easily would help a lot too

So how many fake noobs does Jum have, all told?

After spending a week with him on his home turf I'm suprised he has the time to do his lengthy posts.

Let alone have aliases.

Guys the man is late for everything except the races ;)

Fake noob ??? Me ??? Beg to differ with you

Check your site for user whammy. I read your site for 2 years and registered to post this year but everything I posted was taken down.

Same thing at VRcrash net. Got tired of all the censorship and yellow journalism so here I am.

Notice that I call no names or use profanity so it had to be the content of my posts that was so upsetting to you (or your mods).

I could just as easly make a case that BJC is your clonie. When I first came here I rubbed you around a little to see how gritty you were. In about 3-4 posts you called me an atomic ........ or some such. Then out of nowhere BJC comes to the rescue and starts throwing trash at me but when I put a few darts in him he went to the iggy button.

Soooooo Krop tell us is BJC one of your clone ID's ?

That would be called BSB, or AMA SB, CSB, ASB, etc etc.

I don't know what the solution is but I do know that I do not enjoy MotoGP as much as I did at one time. It gets real boring watching 4 race bikes and 20 grid fillers race after race. We need some machine parity of some kind. Something to allow all 24 bikes to contest the race.

I think Jumkie is mostly on the right track. Spanish kids are no different from kids in any other place. The difference is that Spanish riders are showered with money, coaching, and equipment from a very young age. However, when foreigners go ride in the CEV at a young age, Spaniards continue to win, which is an unprobable outcome considering the size of Spain. Spanish businesses are simply unprofessionally nationalistic, and they promote Spaniards before they promote talent. Other series are decidedly less nationalistic, the most prolific AMA racers, for instance are not Americans (Mladin, Duhamel).

The takeaway; however, is not that Spaniards are .... Spaniels, but that Dorna and the rest of the world has done a poor job cultivating talent.

The problem with MotoGP is that two manufacturers have gotten much too chummy with one another, and they have divided the sport amongst themselves. The other factories have been demoralized, and they have withdrawn. The thin field strips MotoGP of its storylines, competition, and drama. When Honda v Yamaha loses steam, there are no backup stories (besides "Ducati sucks!!!") and no genuine competition elsewhere in the field.

If lack of competition is the problem, forced egalitarianism is hardly a solution. Parity rules are best for privateer racing with umbrella factory support.

Then Marquez could enter on his Moto2 bike and probably win.

no.

if these bikes have .... tyres with .... grip but monster power is readily available (and dirt cheap mind you), how do you think the racing would look like?

while at it, ban all forms of engine brake reduction and make them real 4 strokes again. in and out sideways, perfect throttle control as a necessitiy makes the top riders shine more .sounds good enough for me.

i won't argue that marquez would probably still be upfront though

If I didn't know better, I would suspect he is me, too. Except I can spell and formulate coherent sentences... not that I read anything that isn't quoted - does he still write like a drunk teen texting his booty call?
