Be that as it may, if memory serves, and it does, the offending expression was never tendered to anyone of Mexican descent. Nobody was called a monkey. Intent is key. The offence such as it was, was at worst inadvertent. Should we all now anticipate being framed as racists every time the word monkey is used? I don’t know about you, but I’m not living on Planet Knockdown.
I don't think that those who are not Mexican get to decide what is offensive to Mexicans, and despite being Australian I have considerable personal experience in regard to the prejudice against Mexicans in the US, and LA/SoCal in particular.

That said, l saw little evidence over a decade or more that JK had any purpose on this forum other than to troll other posters.

If you read the previous post about the beloved monkey character that's been a staple of Mexican children's comic books for more years I'm betting, than Jumkie has been alive, to say nothing of the television show based on the same character, you would reasonably conclude a dark skinned monkey character speaking Mexican style Spanish is considered by several generations of Mexicans numbering in the hundreds of thousands don't find Mexican monkeys offensive. As has been said before nobody ever referred to Jumkie using any slur. And he never took umbrage until prompted by Knockdown. His "outrage" was concocted, a charade for the purpose of demonizing another member, in the same way others try to demonize members alleging them to have wished for the death of a rider. It's all hogwash, a device to alienate members and push them off the forum.

Calling ........ on this too. When the expression was first used, Jumkie didn't say squat. He'd never heard the expression either. It was only when professional .... stirrer Knockdown dug up that obscure reference and then what was ages later Jumkie opportunistically jumped on the Mean Girls bandwagon. This is phony drama and you know it. Maybe Jumkie is the center of your universe, but news flash pal, he's not the world wide arbiter of morality, and you're not The Pope of Powerslide. Do yourself and everybody else, stop playing at being Judge Dread and just stick to talking about Michelin conspiracies and other vaguely racing related topics.

So you advocate for racial epithets being thrown around?

Speaks volumes about your character or lack thereof.

Don't you have a MAGA rally to attend so you can be amongst your ilk?

BTW it's Judge Dredd.

The absurdity of your posts begin to rival those of Knockdown.

As does the absurdity of you acting as final arbiter on what or what not someone of a different racial/ethnic background should find offensive.

I'm sure you could make a better argument than this, if you weren't typing them out between taking the minutes for the local Klan meeting at the route 95 Waffle House.

I agree with the last part of your post, but there is considerable history of various Mexican references when you were not on the forum, a history which I am sure it is better not to re-visit, particularly given our resident re-visitor seems to have retired or at least be on hiatus. It was made clear that the Mexican monkey thing was offensive to Mexicans years ago. Pony wasn't on the forum then either, and I am sure his reference was innocent and quite likely along the lines you have described.

Exactly. But really, better to let folks say this stuff and pay it no mind. You only prolong it by responding.

Everyone keeps banging on about racism, most people are the victim of some kind of 'ism',race or ethnicity is just one of many,i've been an English ....... in foreign lands for most of my life, the victim of many 'racist' slurs, couldn't give a toss, who cares what other's think of your origins?,i'm also unfairly perceived as a fat pie eater...wait a minute, they might be onto something there....

Come to think on it that's the word I've used most referring to my two dogs since they were pups, as in, What have those monkeys got into this time? Maybe I'll have to sit down and have a talk with them. I'd hate to think I've been species insensitive.
