This place was a Rossi circle jerk when i joined. After Hayden won the title, then Stoner, the true Rossi and his minions emerged. It didnt take long to start really disliking both. Since then, the board is much more rounded as others got the balls to speak against the yellow horde. I dont love Honda, was a Stoner fan when he was on the Ducati. I will. however defend them against malcontents for what they have contributed to the sport.. Without them, there is no Moto GP.

A Hayden fan ? I pull for anyone to beat Rossi, be it Stoner, Lorenzo, Marquez, even Pedrosa. I defended Marquez this year to spite the ..... that declared him an overrated cheat to advance a narrative. Nothing more, nothing less. In the end, still just a long suffering Hayden fan.

I'm still here, although I don't think that I'm part of any particular brigade... 7 years on the forum & still less than 300 posts... I guess I just prefer reading the amusing crap everyone puts up, rather than writing it myself.... One of the joys of not having much spare time I guess...

He beat everyone including Rossi for the title. After Qatar, ,the bops were convinced that Rossi was back and it was just a matter of a few races to get fine tuned and he would be fighting for the title. Early on, he was playing contender, so i had to pull for Marquez, and anyone else who could beat him... As the season progressed Rossi showed to be a pretender, but by then, possible history was in the making and if my guy cant win, im cheering to see history made. It is possible to pull for a sports entity and not be a 'fan' of that sports entity. My college football team is the Tennessee Volunteers, one of the most successful programs in college history, but has fallen on hard times lately. We belong to the Southeastern Conference, a conference that has had a member win the National Championship for 8 straight years. Tennessee's most hated rival is Alabama, a real blood fued. Some people in Tennessee cannot pull for Alabama under any circumstance, and in most circumstances, im the same way, BUT, i am also a conference guy, and when it plays out like it does this year where the only team from the SEC with a chance at the national championship is Alabama, i will pull for them to win it all. Its good for the conference. If they had been beaten earlier in the season and were not in the hunt, i would pull for them to lose every game..As far as Stoner fans, they never were anywhere near as bad as Rossi fans, plus you need to check your timeline, Stoner was a nobody to the yellow horde when i joined the forum, and his fans were next to non existent.

Like your example with American football i presume it is? i am an avid Saints fan and will pull for anyone playing Pompey regardless of who they are. Why, well i was bought up to hate them.
