To be fair to him, there’s no evidence that they paid any attention to his feedback at all, except maybe very recently.I have no problem with Stefan Brad per se, he actually beat Mm for a moto 2 title iirc, but being considered a stalwart as a Honda moto go test rider in recent years, is hardly high praise, given the quality of the bike for the last several years. It may well have nothing to do with him, but the bikes have been disastrously bad however stalwart he may be as a test rider.
Me too, I'm glad they're giving someone relatively fresh a chance rather than some long retired test rider.
GPOne reports that Remy Gardner might take the place of Rins at the Sachsenring.
I like the sound of this, if he does well, he might have an outside shot at one of the Pramac seats.
Oliveira wants a 'Factory' bike. In that case staying with Trackhouse or getting a Pramac Yamaha seem to be his choices.
Miguel Oliveira wants “factory bike” or similar as talks “with other brands” have begun
According to Davide Brivio (I think), the way the Japanese factories traditionally used test riders was to test the endurance and reliability of the parts. Only when they were deemed bullet proof were they handed to factory riders. This is why they traditionally only tested at Japanese tracks and the riders themselves were much slower than the race riders.I imagine that Stefan Bradl was used a lot to ride the bike around to see what breaks first.
Or they are giving a former Moto2 world champion, who is having a good season in WSBK a possibility to make Pramac/Yamaha's decision about next season a little more difficult.Remy Gardner will be riding in place of Alex Rins at the Sachsenring.
I guess there really aren't that many options?
They’ve done it before, giving Garett Gerloff and Mickey van der Mark rides; both of whom failed to impress.Or they are giving a former Moto2 world champion, who is having a good season in WSBK a possibility to make Pramac/Yamaha's decision about next season a little more difficult.
SBK, Toprak: "I know BMW isn't happy, but I want the MotoGP in 2025"
SBK: "We've had several meetings and, within a week, the situation will be clear. If I don't succeed in the MotoGP in 2025, I'll try again in 2026."www.gpone.com
Makes sense, Remy has MotoGP experience so would have less adaption than another WSBK rider, though I'm not expecting to see him or any other substitute rider in the pointsRemy Gardner will be riding in place of Alex Rins at the Sachsenring.

We are still missing the breaking of contracts this year but yehI can't remember a silly season being sillier.
Anyone care to jog my memory?
Lorenzo signing for Ducati before we turned a wheel in anger, Iannone T-Boning his teammate one time too many and getting the boot to make way for Lorenzo, Suzuki committing Seppuku by removing the well performing A. Espargaro to make for the human torpedo (And NERFing their development direction in the process), Aprilia doing the exact same thing replacing Bradl and Bautista ( half redeeming themselves by signing A. Espargaro but canceling it out by giving up on Sam Lowes after 10 minutes)… if I remember correctly, the 2016 silly season gives this one healthy competition.I can't remember a silly season being sillier.
