I could see VR46 winding up with one of those GP25's assuming they resign DiGi. I don't see Gresini getting that bike if they couldn't get it for Marc to stay there. There'd be nothing wrong with Alex getting that bike but I can't see it happening as he's not at that elite level where it'd make sense to give him one of the new bikes.
This is the most likely scenario; VR46 getting one GP25 For Diggia (Unless Yamaha tempts him away with a fat paycheck; Morbidelli in that case), and one GP24 for Aldeguer.

Hopefully has a financial planner engaged and is using the money earned in this contact for sensible long term investments. His prospects of earning a good income racing bikes in the future is not improving....
I wouldn't be so certain about that. I can see VR46 coming to the rescue, if Marini fails to keep his HRC seat after next season.

I always believed that Carchedi was picked up by Gresini, not Ducati, after Suzuki pulled out.

Marc having another crew chief will add a little twist to his development at Ducati Corse. I reckon he'll use the entire first friday at Lusail to adapt.

I thought he’d try to bring Santi Hernandez over, now that he has signed a multi year contract.

Probably his only option, but yes his bro will possibly help him out if Ducati doesn't crack the sh its over a bike of theirs being spent on him rather than another more promising talent

He was considered by Ducati (Not just the VR46 team) to be very good at giving feedback, almost Dovi-like; which is one of the main reasons HRC signed him.

While the bike is still terrible, HRC is quite happy with the direction he’s giving them, from what I’ve read.

Whether he wants to live with this torture for a long time, is another matter altogether.

Regardless of his feedback, speed is pretty important when you are racing and there aint enough of that, as generally the last placed Honda and last full stop.
Maybe he'll get a spot as a tester but as a racer I can't see too many sponsors happy with him as a choice if he keeps getting similar results.

The departure of Pramac from the Ducati camp has complicated things for Ducati, I suspect that they intended to place Aldeguer at Pramac on (as they have stated) a GP24. Perhaps part of the deal of getting a GP25 is taking Aldeguer? and both VR46 and Gresini still have a place to put Aldeger.is they choose to do so and why would the choose?

I'm going to guess that DiGi stays at VR46 with Morbidelli staying with Pramac Yamaha, we shall see

I’m also wondering how Aprilia will handle development for the rest of the year.

Maverick most likely won’t be getting any new parts and Oliveira’s future is far from certain. That leaves only Espargaro who can give some feedback, but no continuity into 2025.
I hope they don’t make a retrograde step like Suzuki did a few years ago (But that was partly their own doing, choosing to replace a well performing A. Espargaro with Iannone).
Aprilia doesn't have the luxury of having lots of riders to pass new parts to like Ducati does, however Aprilia budget is lower than Ducati so there will be less parts handed to outgoing riders anyway

No one, let alone HRC is looking at who is first or last on their current bike, because it’s all terrible. They have miles to go before speed is a criterion for rider selection.

As for the sponsors, they have already fallen wayside. If they do convince new ones to sign on for next year, rider quality won’t be what they’ll be pitching.

With the Desmocedici, Marini has delivered acceptable, if not good results (Albeit outclassed by other Ducati riders). The year that A. Márquez won the Moto2 championship, Marini was more dominant and was on track to win the championship, until an ill timed injury derailed his momentum.

For what he brings to the table, he’s a perfectly serviceable rider for HRC. And I do admire his decision to strike out on his own instead of taking the easy way out and ride for his brother’s team all his career.

Given how unceremoniously he got dumped from Monster Yamaha, I’m not sure Pramac Yamaha will be Morbidelli’s first choice (Even though he seems to be keeping his options open).

Luca: I figured riding around at the back gathering data is better than crashing out of every race. Maybe Marini and Mir make a good pair. One to do development, one to win it or bin it. Obviously it's not a winning bike, but Mir is sticking to the formula! (Oddly opposite his Suzuki approach.)

Aprilia: Raul might be another option for some continuity. He has put in some good rides, though more in practice than the race. Feels like he has the possibility to improve, where Oliveira seems to have peaked already.

Morbidelli: I was a big fan in 2020, as I have said: A hero to under-emoters everywhere. There are dozens of us! But at the risk of overstating the obvious, 2020 was weird. Franken-Yamaha, repeat tracks. Subsequent injury. I don't think his performance merits another year in MotoGP.

I don't mind that he struck out on his own also. I am sure there was a financial motivator in there too.

Regardless, the point is nobody is slower. That does not improve your employment prospects in an endeavor where the aim is to be fastest.
Slower than all of the others on the same bike at the back of the field is not a saving grace ;)

I find it funny that after almost losing a MotoGP seat, he's going to end up as the 3rd rider in the Ducati pecking order. Sometimes some guys just need more time to adapt. I wonder if he can do a JM89 and compete for the championship next year.
