Also, honestly, what else sounds as good as a v-twin?King of the Baggers is one of the best race series that no one seems to know about. I know they are modified, but if you can throw around a v-twin HD like that, you have batshit insane skill.

Those are marketing efforts though. The bike is still a KTM, as are the Husqvarna and GasGas branded ones.CFMoto is 51 percent owned by a Chinese company (Zhejiang Chunfeng Power Co., Ltd.), a CFMoto rider currently leads the Moto3 championship standings (David Alonso).
I'm betting they will tackle Moto2 next, we shall see.
There were some fascinating articles by Kevin Cameron I think, that detailed how Indian rapidly evolved their entry to corner better with higher lean angles. Chassis and suspension upgrades, exhaust re routing etc.King of the Baggers is one of the best race series that no one seems to know about. Plenty of high capacity multi cylinder bikes being developed in China these days at an accelerated pace.I'm not aware of any sort of sports bike development in China. To build a racing motorbike in China would require a hell of a lot of imported expertise. If we were to get a racing motorbike outside of Europe and Japan, I'd guess it would need to come from the USA, assuming they could acquire the funding
Back to silly season, Ducati is looking like they could loose a lot of existing riders;
- Martin to Aprilia done
- Bastainini to KTM done
- Bezzecchi is rumored to be looking outside
- Digi could end up elsewhere
- Morbidelli isn't performing
- A Marquez seems likely to stay
Sounds like retirement funding AKA chase the Honda moneyRegarding the silly season, reports coming out that Mir is to re-sign with HRC for 2 more years. I didn’t see that coming at all.
MotoGP, Honda and Joan Mir set to continue together: two-year contract on the table
MotoGP: The rumour speaks of a verbal agreement already reached. With the HRC official team sorted, only Aprilia and Yamaha remain with free seats in the Factory teamswww.gpone.com
Yeah I thought Mir was hell set on leaving Honda, I was already looking forward to see him on a Ducati.Regarding the silly season, reports coming out that Mir is to re-sign with HRC for 2 more years. I didn’t see that coming at all.

Doing a Fabio and chasing the retirement money sounds like.Yeah I thought Mir was hell set on leaving Honda, I was already looking forward to see him on a Ducati.
Guess the paycheck is pretty good though. Honda riders are at least finishing most races now.
I've heard nothing of Rins leaving the factory Yamaha team, except to retire if his leg injury forces him so. There is also a chance he ends up on a Pramac if they move to Yamaha.Pramac - potentially #1 choice for Yamaha. Will need two riders. Campinoti likes Miller, Miller lacks Yamaha from his collection. Oliveira and R.Fernandez might need to switch. Diggia will need to switch, and will work for crumbs.
VR46 - potentially #1 choice for Ducati. Will need to save Morbidelli's career. Diggia is their fastest rider. Aldeguer is the one to get the bike. The second team to complete their lineup, and only after Aprilia is set
Gresini - Marquez will stay, as part of the Marquez deal. Diggia will need a seat, will work for crumbs, and is a native
Trackhouse - Can Trackhouse convince Noale that its in their financial interest to land an American? Have Fernandez been given enough time? Has Oliveira's bad and good luck run out?
What happened to Rins?
I’ll co-sign Miller to Yamaha if they have 4 seats. So we have 2-3 possible seats open.
Aprilia still has one seat unless Bezzecchi goes there. But that would open up the second VR46 seat. Don't know if Aldegeur would wind up there by default since it seems like the Pramac to retain Ducati deal has likely gone south. But the only remain question marks are the second Yamaha M1 seat, and if Pramac decides to take the admittedly phenomenal Yamaha satellite deal, they have 2 riders to fill there. I think one way or another Jack Miller may survive another year or two if he can grab one of these seats. I actually think Yamaha should get him on the factory seat if Rins decides to retire, but if not, and Pramac signs the deal, he should be on one of those bikes as I think development wise he can help out.
I’ll co-sign Miller to Yamaha if they have 4 seats.
If they only have 2, I’d like to see Rins retained. Continuity is important when you’re rebuilding (Maybe also the reason for the HRC-Mir renewal).
If I were Davide Brivio, I’d also take a long look at Miller vs what he’s getting for his money currently. Would be a bit of a coup for Aprilia to get some KTM knowledge as well.
Bez to Aprilia seems to be a foregone conclusion to me as well.
In two years he’ll probably own his own post code, which is alright I guess.Mir re-signing with Honduh is the biggest shock of silly season. In two years he will be irrelevant.
I won’t mind seeing him in MotoGP. When he’s motivated, he’s fantastic on the track.I still wonder if somehow Joe Roberts might work his way into the Trackhouse Aprilia team
