JM is still the favorite regardless of how dynamics have changed in the last several days. I suspect he will be riding with a mission just to try and show Ducati they were wrong. Might lead to some big fireworks now.

If he lets his emotions get the better of him, I see multiple DNFs in his near future. Though I have nothing against Pecco, I really don't want to see him win the title without a proper fight til the end.

I don't see Bezz going to Aprilia now that the got Martin. I can't see Mav leaving unless Aprilia aren't trying to re-sign him. Going to honda would be career suicide. But I guess it would be the first time he tried to kill his career. Nor the second.
Mav is now married with a child, yes? Getting as close to a Fabio-like payday as he can may be a priority for him. How much would Honda pay him?

He's been married with a child since yamaha, but yes he may be looking for a pay day. I don't see him being able to last two years at honda though.

So if you are Honda and you are looking for a rider to help turn things around, who would you rather have to work with Marini to develop the bike? Mav or Dovi?

Dovi. Mav does not a have a good track record when the bike needs to be advanced. That going back to his 125 day though yamaha. Yamaha was not the first team he quit over an inferior bike. Dovi would be a good test rider with some wild cards. Not sure if I'd sign him as a every day guy.

I agree with Synn that Bezz to Aprilia might be a goer. And where does Aldeguer go ?. Report on crash today for all their talk that Pramac still haven’t put pen to paper to be with Ducati next year btw.
Replace M. Marquez at Gresini probably, unless something changes at VR46 (They manage rider and staff contracts, only Ducati team where the crew chief is not paid by Ducati).

Marini was selected exactly because he delivers precise feedback (In many ways, like Dovi), according to Alberto Puig.

Good point but....and I'm not trying to be confrontational.....how did other Italian riders prior to the academy make it?
By winning championships mostly, but it was a different time with next to no PR commitments, barely any English knowledge needed (“It-a wasa a funny race-a”).

Language lessons, psychologist support etc are actually part of the academy package, not just race craft.

Oh, I hadn't even considered that. Thanks. Didn't Lorenzo take .... for not wanting to learn English? I guess these guys need to speak English, Spanish & Italian at a minimum, yes?

Oh absolutely, I agree on the DNFs. I am going to be curious as to how hard he pushes now, or what he does if MM is making an overtake on him. I'm really hoping if he crashes out he doesn't take anyone else with him.

I'd like to see Pecco forced into a proper fight for once as well. But even though he is down, he's making in-roads.

Italian and Spanish most definitely, if they come up through CIV/ CEV. Some do French, and all of them eventually learn a version of “Paddock English”, which is why Ryusei Yamanaka speaks with an accent that makes one suspect his last name is Hernandez.

Also Zarco probably knows like 16 languages, plays the piano and guitar and does a mean backflip.

I could honestly see Bezzecchi getting a GP25, which would defy all logic.
If Pramac leave Ducati, I see this:

VR46 (GP25's)
Bezzechi
Morbidelli (Despite Diggia's performances)

Gresini (GP24's)
Alex Marquez
Femin Aldeguer

Marquez was flogging a 3 legged dog, but conversely, it wasn’t even peak Bagnaia.

Still, one of the best endings to a GP in recent times. Anyone remember what overtakes were ?

Aleix is getting that job I think. Dovi also gave up on the Yamaha halfway through a season, so I wouldn't go with him either.

It also wasn't peak MM either as his arm was what, 30 degrees rotated from where it was supposed to be?

Dovizioso gave up because he told him exactly what was wrong with the bike and they wouldn’t even let him change the tyre pressure outside what the Japanese engineers deemed appropriate. No one needs that .... in their mid 30s.

He’s still a Yamaha ambassador in the off road world though.

Right but he asked me between Mav and Dovi who would I take. I wouldn't trust Mav to finish microwaving Synns pizza rolls.
