The championship could have gone either way if martin overtook bagnaia and slow him down although he couldn't expect any help of his team mate. BTW has anybody seen zarcos flag above the podium? The flag looked kinda familiar 🤔

I don't see the listed time for testing on Tuesday, unless they are somehow mis-listing it. Can anybody enlighten me???

Watched a bit. Not all yet. Will get there.
Yes Jorge was a bit impatient.
Didn't like the camera following him into the pits and then being stuck in his face to watch the disappointment.
Far cough and give them a bit of space. I don't watch "reality" tv dramas and don't need motoGP turned into one. 🙄

yeah, I didn’t want to be unkind. 😁 He’s better than Mav and Jack how’s that?
I know Binder gets a lot of love around here and I like Brad................but..............after 4 years on a factory ride and only 2 wins and something like 10 podiums, "OK" is not all that bad of an assessment. Too inconsistent, too little too late and he's like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates.

I didn't see the initial opening lap, so I was unaware about the Marco Bezzechi/MM incident. I only saw it on the news sites along with the video. No idea what he was thinking. But I didn't realize he blamed Marc for it entirely in a rant to the media and said he gets away with it because he's "Marc Marquez". Marc was asked about it in Spanish during one interview and he just deflected and called Bezzechi a character or clown depending on your translation and said next question.

Some have said there's some sort of bad blood between the 2, over what I'm not sure. Did they have any major clashes this year?

But I did see on social media the vocal VR46 supporters referencing 2015, celebrating Marc crashing out while calling it karma, and so forth were out parading. I guess they'll never really leave. It's hooliganism.

I’ll agree to disagree. He has comprehensively beaten all of his teammates, apart from his rookie year. Talking about rookie year, I’m sure he is the last rider to win a race in his rookie year, iirc.
He made a mistake yesterday which probably cost him the win, but he makes very few of them.

Martin seemed to think that everyone should let him pass to catch Pecco. The last race should be treated like the first race in regards to racing. Not a fan of team orders though I understand why they happen. Ducati initiating what has essentially been manufacturing orders since 2017 or so ..... me to tears though.
Martin shaking his head a Vinales for daring to race him pushed me towards wanting Pecco to win.
Blaming Marquez for the crash wasn’t a great look but it might be because he has just lost the title. Him and Marquez seemed to be ok afterwards.
I still Valencia is a .... track for racing though.

Entirely agree. I bet they practice interview questions about Marc more than they ride at the VR46 brokeback ranch. Bezz has his nose so far up Rossi's ... it has turned highlighter yellow.

Martin expected everyone to let him go by and then what? Follow him past Pecco? His headshake at Mav reminded me of the other Jorge (Lorenzo) at Valencia on Marco Sic. Hopefully he drops this track entitlement feeling or I am going to begin to sour on him.

I've been on holiday for over a week, so only just catching up here.

Martin went into full panic mode. You won't win championships like that. Jorge owes MM an apology for that.

Please don't let Marc be injured for testing on tuesday.
That was my first thought, thankfully he seems ok.
Mavs bike puffs smoke once and its a grid penalty. DiGi's bike puffs all race and its nothing. Total .........
I know! Simon Crafar commented on it mid way through the race and towards the end, the commentators totally forgot he mentioned it.

So if you want to blame Marquez for the Martin incident. The Bezzechi incident was squarely Marco.

Martin's ambition outweighed his talent on that crash. Stupid move as he would have had plenty of time to make the overtake stick somewhere else on the track. But even if that never happened, I don't think he would have taken the title.

Jack Miller crashing out of the lead was typical of him. I think he's a bit overrated as a rider and will likely be out of KTM once Acosta is ready for the factory seat.

Congrats to Pecco for sealing the deal. Just a measured ride with no real risk taking. He did everything he needed to do today. There's not much more you could have asked out of him. 2024 is going to be interesting to see how he handles Marc. Looking forward to Tuesday to see if we get any insight into what we can expect.

Man this sucks now that all the racing is done for this year. The drought begins.
Agreed on all counts.

They'll eventually die off.

As far as GP’s go, Valencia was one of the better races this season, though the championship was decided quite early in the race. The level of attrition was alarming, but since some of the crashes were at the front, it added intrigue.

People are quick to jump on Miller and Binder, but they both experienced the same problem at the same corner, in Crafar’s estimation, with Binder making a good save while Jack tried to ride through the front lock up. I think those crashes were a KTM issue. The bike did not like the change of direction at that speed, and both riders eventually made mistakes.

People are salty with Marquez following the race, but I didn’t see fault in either clash he had on Sunday. As Spies pointed out in his recent interview, with modern MotoGP bikes, you get to choose a line and that’s it. The riders don’t have many opportunities to make adjustments, and Valencia is a technical track that links corners together. Marquez was on the inside when he collided with Bezzechi. I’m sure Marco wanted the line, but Marc was there, and he wasn’t making a late dive bomb, as I recall. The Martin incident was also understandable. Jorge tried to pass on the inside late, if Marc adjusted he probably would have lost a couple of places so he let off the lever, and tried to use his momentum to carry him past Martin. Didn’t work. Oh well. Would have been better for Marc not to get involved in the championship battle, but Jorge had already made a series of crazy lunges and his luck was going to expire eventually. I don’t see the point in blaming Marc for everything.

Congrats to Pecco. He’s like the Prost of MotoGP now. Soft and whingy, but he gets the job done without losing his cool. Will Martin play the roll of Senna? Or will Marc be doing that next year?

I never saw a replay of the Bez incident but Marc's crash with Martin was all on Jorge, IMO. Only chance Jorge had of winning the championship was if Pecco botched the start and didn't recover. That was a long shot at best. Didn't help that Pecco was helped by that nonsensical penalty on Mav.
