I don't think it's that.
He wants to stay in the championship and the only open ride is a Ducati. If he costs holy Pecco the champion there's no way he'll get the VR46 ride.
Ducati's MotoGP effort is run with mafia-like structures and quite a bit of völkisch nationalism.

Crash.net confirmed that there is a clause on Martin's contract that allows him to be immediately promoted to factory team if he becomes world champion. There's also a citation about Enea's having guaranteed a factory seat only this year. Stars aligning...

Now Taramasso will give Pecco a hand by cherry picking one special tire for him while giving Martin the crappiest rubber possible. Or maybe Ducati's engineers whom reside on Pramac garage will make an special setup for Martin's traction control. 😂😂

I've never seen a grid penalty issued in warm up session.
 
Yeah it was clear Jorge would lose his nerves.
He's still the champion of the hearts. He gave it everything.
Hopefully Marc is not injured.
