2023 Valencia GP - Season Finale

Diggia not even trying to make a move was waaaay too obvious.
It does seem kinda suspicious that Jorge always dominates the sprints yet magically lost speed on Sunday the last two weekends.

Incredible race by Marc once again.

Exciting sprint, and makes things interesting for tomorrow although Jorge still has it difficult. He needs a win and Pecco to finish 6th or lower, the latter no doubt will be escorted by an army of Ducatis but he has to worry about Marc, Fabio, Mav, Brad. Very excited for tomorrow.

DiGi was given the map 8 on the grid today.

Jorge really likes the soft rear tire. Ever since Philip Island he has been a little off in the sunday races. I think tomorrow is going to be a go for broke on the soft kind of day.

Looks like a devaju of last weekend. Pecco vanishing in sprint due to tires and Martin vanishing in the race due to... tires.

Bags say he picked the wrong rear tire, went with the medium because it gave him a good impression during practices but admits he should've gone with the soft. Says he'll match Jorge's tire choice tomorrow.

I'd understand if he was in fact on the Factory Team, but to not go for it is just too cynical and really unsportsmanlike, because it potentially has such a serious impact on whether the the championship win will be considered in the minds of fans who pay to watch, is legit. To say nothing of being a betrayal of all his team and crew who gave their all on his behalf and paid him to do his best. Totally mercenary.

This championship win is legit, whomever comes out on top after tonight's race.

From crash.net : Of the 21 riders on the grid only Fabio Quartararo, Takaaki Nakagami, Brad Binder, Alex Rins and Lorenzo Savadori are yet to use their Official Warning 'joker'.

So Brad Binder or Fabio for the win.

Yes, I don’t particularly like Bagnaia but he has come through under pressure two seasons in a row unless he dnfs or finishes worse than 5th in the main race with Martin winning.

It probably comes down to tyres as has been said and as it often does. Perhaps Bagnaia just rides the hard tyre better, hence him prospering in the full distance races, the apparent poor choice by Martin in the race he lost 4 places on the last lap, and Martin running the hard tyre in qualifying which appeared a bizarre.decision.

Has happened before, Stoner mostly only won on the old Bridgestone hard tyre. Dorna worked out long ago even though it took them some time that tyres could change everything. They have not been above deliberate manipulation of the tyres Imo in the past but not this season as far as I can discern, and If Bagnaia wins on the basis of a tyre suiting him better it is unfortunate for JM but not illegitimate Imo, at most the control tyre rule can be blamed for an adverse outcome for him.

Understand Digi not attacking Bagnaia. Last thing you want to do this weekend is take out Bagnaia or Martin and go down in history as the rider who decided the championship thru your mistake

Have no fear as Michelin is working extra hard analyzing that tire.......................................................and O.J. Simpson is looking extra hard for his wife's murderer.

Call me crazy but my spider senses are telling me the race will have some fireworks on the opening laps. If not, Pecco will be escorted and protected much like a presidential motorcade.

Digi wasn't gonna bite Ducati's hand 2 weeks in a row.

Digia didn’t attack Pecco because he couldn’t. You could clearly see where the difference between the current bike and the 2022 bike was!
He tried to attack, but he just couldn’t. People looking for conspiracies everywhere…

Excited for this finale. Had a great dinner, Got myself some Cooper's sparkling ale, watch the melee in moto3 with no holds barred. Chill and settle in for the big show. I'm all for Jorge, hope it turns out for him and a safe race for all.
Just finished a ctn of Coopers Dark on my last days off. Will need to grab another ctn tomoz when I start the next. Might make it red label too. 👌
Enjoy the race.
Will watch tomoz when I get home.
Would love to see Jorge win it too. Gonna be tough but here's hoping.
