WSBK/WSS - Miller (round 7) - practice, qualifier, race

Hard to believe it's been one year since the first visit of WSBK to Miller. This year looks quite promising for some great racing.

Last year Checa pulled the double, and given his lackluster season so far, doubtful it will happen again, but he could go surprisingly well. Fabrizio in last years round at Miller pulled two 3rd place finishes, expect him to do well again, especially given his recent success. Although Haga last year had a bad round at Miller, I expect him to be solid and at the front. Spies however, being as this is his home round and is quite familiar with the track, will have to be the favorite for the double win at this early stage.

It's going to be great to see WSS as well, a very welcome addition this year.

Does anyone know if they are going to run the full course or just the outside track (as they did last year for WSBK)?

Wonder if Spies has ever ran the shorter circuit layout that WSB gets instead of the full circuit that AMA ran last year?

Last year I believe WSBK ran the outside "shorter" circuit so that there wouldn't be any comparison's made between the AMA and WSBK. At least that was the rumor. Being as there will be no AMA at the event this year, they theoretically could run the full course. I haven't heard which will be done, but most likely they will stick with what they did last year so they have "track records" and consistency.

spies has run both courses if memory serves. this is the 4th season for miller correct??? i think the ama ran the short course the 1st 2 seasons......

Good to hear this for Lavilla. For a replacement rider, he had a great ride in South Africa.

That's excellent news!, im glad Lavilla has something sorted as he's a top bloke and a great rider!

Also, Zemke said:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Jake Zemke, WSBK:
"I am definitely excited to be back on the Stiggy Racing Honda at Miller Motorsports Park. I was really disappointed with our results at Monza. I know that the rest of the team and I myself are capable of much more than what we showed there. Now, with a better understanding of the team and also with the Pirelli tires, we will be looking at fighting for a spot inside the top 10." roadracingworld.com

Go Zemke!

Wow.
That's truly heartbreaking and inspiring. Her metaphor brought a tear to my eyes.

She's a really cool chick and no slouch on the bike. She finished Daytona right around
10th place.

See if you can find her in the paddock Jumkie and have some words with her you'll really
like her.

Go 29 and Go Zemke!

I am banking on Spies to win both race 1 and 2.

Nothing on Justin anyone?

Zemke says he's capable of a top 10? Big words for a small fry..... but hey who knows, anything can happen in racing. My prediction is he will finish outside the top 20.

Biaggi said he likes this track, Aprilia looking like a solid machine (at least under Biaggi).
I still think Spies will take his 7th pole.

Cali Kid missed his flight, then bought another one that got hims stranded in Vegas delay. I almost missed my connection in Arizona (literally had to hold the flight will I ran from gate to gate). Finally strolled in at near 2 AM to Frosty's cousin's <strike>house</strike> mansion. Both Frosty and I are sick as dogs, coughing our lungs out, soar throat, and tired as ..... Just woke up, four hours of sleep. Head to the track. WITH A BIG ... SMILE.

I doubt will have time to post pics tonight seeing as I will be drunk and high as hell!

QP2 result

apparently Haga had a big crash
