<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (SackWack @ Apr 2 2009, 12:54 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>To be fair, I think that Spies actually may have some laps around Valencia. He was testing the GSV-R. I can't remember if it rained or what but it was only a few laps, but non the less, he can't claim it's a track that he never rolled a tire on.

Advantage Spies
<

He did ride the track at Valencia on reporters day,or whatever the hell they call it at the end of the season.Got about 30 laps in.That should be enough

Ah excited about this race weekend.

I have a feeling Max N on the Suzuki could be in the mix as well, he should of won last year before Checa brainfarted.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (xx CURVE xx @ Apr 2 2009, 05:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>does it matter?....Phillip, and Qatar were both new tracks to him

Exactly.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (povol @ Apr 2 2009, 01:53 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I cant remember being this antsy and amped about a race weekend in a long time. Even though it is real early in the season, a mental turning point could happen this weekend. If Spies comes in and dominates the weekend and doubles and Haga gets seconds, they will be tied but the damage will have been done to Haga's head. I think Haga knows this is a major moment in the season and will push past his limit and take a fall or have a run off in one of the races.

I don't think this weekend has nearly the significance you are attempting to place on it. Haga will not be beaten because he is down on points and wins after 3 rounds. He has lost the world championship plenty of times agaisnt riders like Bayliss and JT and he knows the value of not giving up. He's has had a few notable late seaosn charges and i don't think an strong early run from Spies is going to ruin him like you predict.

As far as Hopper goes i think for now i'll just be looking at how he compares to Leon, if he comes out on top thats a good debut as far as i'm concerned.

worldsbk.com claims they have completely reworked their website as of yesterday. Well, now live timing is gone, hopefully not permanently. I don't see a freakin' thing different with their website, its pitiful that crash.net has FP1 times before worldsbk.com!

Website "redesign" sucks as did the original. Live timing on right side first item after tracks...

There is no change to the website that I see. I'm thinking that maybe they're blocking us in the states.

It looks completely different to me. I can no longer find the links to watch races after they've run. Anybody know where the link is???

Hopper.

"My first impression on the bike is that it really is a lot of fun riding it. After my disappointing season last year, it's great to get out on track and enjoy riding a bike again. I've never been on a Superbike in my life but the size of the motorcycle makes a big difference and suits my style. It feels good to be able to move around on the bike again and feel it spinning coming out of the corners."

amen brother
