Actually Jorge was bumped, to third by two Hondas on a Yamaha track, and VR was only a few seconds back on the WC.......you've been swallowing to much of the BS here on PS Kropo, either that or you're selectively marketing by agreeing with these clowns.......

Actually, besides Qatar 2013, Honda have whipped Jorge and Yamaha since mid 2012.......I would say the crew up the road is showing Forcada's boys how to operate.....actually

Honda will win the title this year, Easily,  Yamaha are well behind and need to re-evaluate their direction, great bike, but needs updating, Jorge's style is being found seriously wanting at present by two factory Hondas......maybe that's a good place to start

Ducati need to quit right now, and the control tyre situation is worse than ever.........glad to see some here are re-iterating the sentiments I've been preaching around the Bridgestones control rubber issues for a while.

You dont seem to have changed your diet while gone. You are still swallowing the same ole yellow goo . Yea, officially Rossi finished ONLY 4 seconds back on his champion teammate, but we all know that figure is what it has been all season , around 6-7 seconds without being bumped off track. Is that what the bops have been reduced to, 4th place moral victories 6-7 seconds behind their team mate, and 10 seconds off the lead.

I love changes in fashion.

4th is new new 1st this year. Actually winning championships is sooooooo 2009.

And mixing red and yellow, like a McDonalds sign, whilst superficially looking, well, superficial is actually worth 6 or 7 championship places.

Some times I wonder why Roger Federer doesn't win as mush as he use too and get beaten by younger opponents quite regularly now, Hmmm he must be a .... player all along then and Djokovic,Nadal and Murry are better than him.

In fact, Casey Stoner reinforces the point further.

2007 - WC with 10 wins

2008 - 2nd with 6 wins

2009 - 3rd with 4 wins

2010 - 4th with 3 wins

What happened from 2007 to 2010? Did Casey forget to ride? Or did the bike become increasingly uncompetitive?
I thought Casey finished 4th in 2009 as well? IMO his achievements at Ducati are quite remarkable never the less. Even the bike was uncompetetive in 09/10 Casey was still one second quicker then his team mate on regular basis.

And they did a fantastic job over there.

Which is completely beside the point, and irrelevant, unless you think it's the job of the mechanics to redesign the chassis in their spare time?

Quite clearly Ramon is sneaking peeks at Jerry's laptop. Quite clearly.

Doesn't need to - he's got one of those keylogger's loaded up. He just tweaks Rossi's settings down a little when they're not looking. Nobody checks that .......

unless you openly say you can " fix that bike in 80 seconds". back at ya.

And why is he beating his teammate by several seconds at every single race?

The few seconds between 'outstanding third places' and 'completely lost'.......you mean?

This is Valentino Rossi we are talking about. He should be matching his teammate. Right now, he's matching Cal Crutchlow on a satellite bike.

Didn't you know, every racer thats ever raced is better than Rossi, and his team can't distinguish between their ..... and faces.....

No, no Rossi is .... Krop, he has only won anything because of tech advantages and backroom deals...:)  I'm surprised the CRT's aren't beating him too, oh wait that was Dovi.....

You've been around powerslide long enough now to understand this.

The salient line was "If Rossi can qualify better ... then he may be close enough to stick with Lorenzo." The verdict after two more races is he can't.

That's not posi. Time to turn that frown upside down. Go yellow horde !!!!!!!!!

EDIT (serious face) :

Yeah it's not looking to good the old boy has lost a step and he seems to have lost his abilty or willingness to ride around problems. I'm guessing at Qatar he had a perfect bike come race time at a track he knows well. Unless he gets this same perfect bike at Mugello I think that's it for the season baring rain/riders in front crashing.

Unless Kropos love child torpedoes VR (or as he calls it, youthful temerity) then im going with VR Mugello 2:1. Daddy Dorna needs a nice kickback for their efforts.

Ah Talps, ever the defender ;)

IMO, VR will win another race before he decides to call it a day, he is to good a rider not to win at least once on the Yamaha (and likely more).

Yes, it would seem that his performances to date may not match his expectations and dare I say, certainly do not match the expectations of those blinded yellow followers (as opposed to the race fan who supports Rossi). But to think that VR has lost it will likely result in a large dose of humble pie to be eaten, although I do agree with Krop in that his performances to date will (I suspect) be causing him a lot of angst.

Rossi's problem (which has been said before), is not Rossi but the sheer fact that the opposition had to go to a level that had previously been the domain of Rossi, and once there then had to go further to be better. No doubt Rossi has the ability, but now the real question is does he have the young mind to learn and go further than he had before, is he willing to learn and take the risks that come with pushing beyond where one had previously, only time will tell?

The ineluctable and irrefutable truth remains; Valentino has never faced such formidable and motivated opposition in such numbers and of such a high calibre, on such a high calibre/parity of machinery.

Not that old chestnut...

Can we put this to bed once and for all? This is exactly what Burgess said, and in context:

<span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:arial;font-size:11px;“Difficult to say, without knowing where the weight is on the bike and how it behaves. But, without question, I don’t anticipate any major dramas. I can watch some of these lesser riders on the Ducatis and you can see that the bikes are, in my opinion, unsuitably set for what they want to try and do with them. I’m not saying anybody’s doing a bad job. I see these things wobbling around. When I think, clearly, if we had that issue with Valentino it’d be fixed in 80 seconds, but some riders don’t like the hardness of the bike, because they don’t get the feel. But then when they’re riding around and it’s too soft they’re not going forward either.
