<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (chanchan @ Jul 13 2007, 03:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>fair enough he has mostly been with the best riders but he along with vale tok a big risk in 04 when they both left a huge hrc factory well knowned for winning and took a chance on a under acheiving team and turned them into winners again.

he has not always been on winning sides you know.

i think what i heard him say face to face has ben taken out of context ,

it was meant as far as i can say to be a bit of humour and not meant to be mallicious.

the guy imo is a god amongst riders and teams and where he goes , so does the title ( normally )

They were underachievers for sure but they wernt under funded and he did have the ace in the hole in the best rider to ever throw a leg over a bike.Burgess is no doubt the guru but his riders also make him look good.I read where Burgess and Rossi got rid of the chatter in the front end of the Yamaha in days where the previous regime had struggled with it for years and Burgess said alot of it was the input from Rossi. When you can ride your ... of and also have the tech side down to a science, your going to win a lot of races.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (povol @ Jul 13 2007, 02:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Damn,i actually agree with you on this one.I think its pretty damn arrogant of him to start calling for other riders heads.Stick him on a underfunded team with a past prime rider and see how he likes it.He has been at the top so long,it sounds like he forgot where he came from.He needs to worry about his team and keep his nose out of everyone elses business. One thing about racing, there is allways a first place and last place and given time, the big money teams will beat the underfunded teams
we aint always on a different page mate, just one or two petty things.

Jerry Burgess is a genius.. the Ross Brawn of MotoGP.

Why would he work for a smaller team the best people work for the best teams.

yamaha were definalty not the best team until Roosi/Jb switched in 04 and rossi won 9 races.

they became a front runner only after Rossi/JB joined them

everybody thought now is our chance to beat Rossi , but i think this was one of Vales finest championships.

up until that point Yamaha had not won a gp championship since wayne rainey in 1992.
